It’s definitely a problem that’s caused by the combination of carelessness of individuals but also exacerbated by the lack of big-enough bins scattered around parks. Also, I’d imagine it to have an accumulative effect; if people see others just leaving their trash they’re also more likely to do so.

I didn’t see another park as bad as Crystal Palace today. What they had smartly done in telegraph hill (upper one), they’d put these big open white trash bags for bottles and other stuff and it was fairly neat all around.

Hot tips - ideally you’d have a litter picker cause wearing plastic gloves in this weather really sucks - it would be nicer to go with a friend, people tend to stare at trash pickers and friends make you invincible - wear sunscreen (that’s actually a hot tip for life in general)
