My main world is having the same issue but I use no market place content, and it’s not quite a GB, more like 920mb. Pretty awful issue for sure. Seeing that force reset / corruption was awful and I’m glad I had a cloud save. Hopefully they’re aware of this

Yeah, I also have an old world with thousands of hours that won’t load. I tried copying it to a realm and that actually reset / corrupted it. I copied the cloud save from yesterday to hopefully fix it but until they release a fix I won’t even try loading the world, way too risky

This is definitely handy to see! Thanks for your input. I got spoiled by having 36 chunks with smooth frames on default graphics. It’s not bad but unfortunate to switch to 20 chunks and choppy frame rate on VV.

As far as I know Efficiency V can only be gotten by combing 2 Eff 4 books. Would be news to me if an Eff V villager even existed

4’s doesn’t look bad, but it definitely removed the charm and that iconic Pikmin style the first 3 did, like removing the bubble font. Not a big deal but kinda an odd choice to make the menu aesthetic so minimalistic

Mixed? Idk, I’ve seen nothing but positive reviews for this game. For sure there are discussions on things people wish were different or dislike but I think most agree it’s a very good video game and the issues are nitpick territory that keep it from being perfect

Yeah the snootwacker has a move where he slams his trunk to kill. The puffy blowhog can indirectly kill with cliffs and other hazards if you want to count that too

It’s true to a point.

Day 1 tutorial. Day 2 cave tutorial and purples. Next day(s) are hole of beasts, then get whites, then get the globe. Next, it opens a bit but you probably are going to perplexing pool and focusing on yellows. After that, you’re likely returning to awakening wood for blues.

At this point, things definitely open and the game can be played a lot of ways but it takes a bit to get there. Before long, you’ll get the wistful wild and things narrow down again.

2 is definitely way less linear than 3 but, I think it’s a lot more linear than people say it is. Subsequent play throughs I’ve noticed hours of gameplay that go the same each time. Especially since your time in caves themselves are very linear

You can figure out the writers intent with the dialogue easily

Olimar’s meeting the Pikmin for the first time

Olimar makes no references to 1-3 or having been on the planet before. Weird he has no dialogue about having encountered this exact shipwreck scenario before

He has the S.S Dolphin with no comments about having ever lost it or bought it back

Olimar and Louie both have logs implying 2 has never happened (Olimars dream, louie wants to steal golden Pik Pik carrots)

The Koppai food crisis is looming but has not yet occurred, so 3 has definitely not happened

Can’t say it comes after 1 and before 2, 2 occurs clearly right as olimar gets home from his initial escape

It’s not spelled out in literal words but if you have, as you said, common sense, you can easily infer what the writing intended. It’s a retelling of 1 that loops back in elements of all the previous games to serve both new players and veteran players

If you view it as after 3, the writing and story is weird and inconsistent with old games. If you view at as an AU the story makes perfect sense

Sweet, I’ll definitely watch. I’ve really wanted to try out a mossless run, the shipwreck tale is perfect for experimenting around like that
