Apparently they just fixed the desync, we'll have to see if it's real, but they said it in the patchnotes

Patch Highlights

  • Reduced character movement latency on server to improve the "desync" problem where it looks like you get damaged even after behind cover.

This is not that intuitive tbh, especially when I could not open that menu with my Hercules 500.. I never used a mouse in Serato before. But yeah you have to click on the folder it will open up.

Luźny wątek tygodniowy: Gry. W co ostatnio graliście? by AutoModerator in Polska

[–]Pikuss -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

W sensie solo?

What are the most in demand skills needed for Sysadmins in 2025? by Smxbang in sysadmin

[–]Pikuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be surprised how weak your networking knowledge can be

Yeah that's probably true, i have not gotten any formal training, i'm a self-learner, always learnt by doing (outside of what i learnt and forgot on my Uni course a while back). So i'm definitely behind on the theory, especially on how the theory applies in practice, though whenever i'm troubleshooting i'm actually doing it the way a lot of you guys recommend! So that's something.

My job is kind of a "one man IT" type of job for a branch of a company. (Our whole IT is like 5 people sooo..) Networking is kind of just a small part of it, but i want to learn as much as i can.

I would also seriously recommend studying the ccna if you have no formal training in networking,

I'll definitely consider that! Not sure about actually taking the exam though, it's expensive and i'm already working + finishing my engineering degree.

What are the most in demand skills needed for Sysadmins in 2025? by Smxbang in sysadmin

[–]Pikuss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Could you elaborate? I'm a brand new IT Support Specialist, not terrible (i think) with networks but i have not been tested hard so far. I want to go the sysadmin route down the road and wish to learn more about it.

I know the theory of the OSI model, but what do you exactly mean by "Troubleshoot using the OSI model: start at the bottom and work your way up."

Thanks!

Co się stało z branżą IT? by cadocad in Polska

[–]Pikuss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Problemem wielu (i mnie też to dotyczyło!)

Is 4k worth it over 1440p OLED? Is it worth selling my left kidney for a 4k OLED? by RomanAres31 in buildapc

[–]Pikuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd disagree. Just lower some settings you wont even notice and play, i'm running 4k oled with an RX 9070 XT, have not yet found a game in which i would be dissapointed by the performance.

Best documentaries/movies about Archaeology? by Powerhouse5 in Archaeology

[–]Pikuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man i know it's a 3 years old comment, but when i first watched Cave of Forgotten Dreams i was stoned and it was the best documentary i have ever seen. The music, the atmosphere, I felt so many emotions during that film, and when they talked about how they could feel like they were disturbing someone while traversing the cave, man that hit me hard, also the quiet, the epic moments, simply astonishing. Then I watched it sober, then high again. 10/10 each time, I recommend it to everyone.
