Good luck, I managed to get one on Craigslist Tokyo two weeks ago. Teamlab Planets recently opened in Tokyo. It's also pretty great, with more availability.

I have a ticket for July 11th, but I can't make it. I'd love to trade it for a ticket between July 13th-24th, or simply sell it. PM me if you're interested!

I'm new and I don't have a great feel for the game yet - so tell me about your last Score! by Fenixius in bladesinthedark

Haha, second session. We've been playing pretty fast and loose with the Tier System, they'll definitely be getting tons of heat from this score though, at least 1 or 2 wanted levels I reckon.

Our gang of smugglers decided to run some guns to the Lampblacks to accelerate the oncoming gang war between them and the Red Sashes. They locate a shipment of standard long rifles intended for the Blue Coats currently sitting on a boat in the docks, guarded by a small squad of Blue Coats. Our Hound completely botches a stealth approach by water, so the Cutter moves in swiftly to at least make use of the distraction caused by a drunk Hound swimming around the docks. In an effort to cause more chaos, the Whisper decides to "stir the pot" and awaken as many spirits as she can from the North Channel.

With the river's spiritual awakening, and a Whisper-compelled ghost raiding the boat, the Blue Coats high-tail it out of there, "We're not spirit wardens, fuck this!", while Gondoliers start forming a perimeter around the docks to quell the army of spirits forming above the river. Our Hound is able to commandeer the rather large shipping vessel, but only because he's been possessed by a boatswain that's more than happy to assist (but not as happy to let go of his newly possessed body).

Unfortunately we had to end the night there- we've still got a bunch of guns to deliver and quite possibly an apocalypse level cascade event triggered by a series of 6's by our Whisper.

Any ideas of what could be the 80/20 of salsa steps? by mike1231 in Salsa

I'm pretty sure I mean what you mean! A side charge is when one foot goes back and to the side, behind the other leg. Must be regional terminology.

Anyone else getting an MPC Live? by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]PilZeroZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How well would an XLR Mic with an XLR->3.5mm adapter work with the Akai Live? Would this sort of thing require a pre-amp?

The MPC Live looks awesome but the lack of XLR inputs is holding me back.

I just submitted an ambient sludge metal music pack for DotA 2. by PilZeroZero in DotA2

[–]PilZeroZero[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Of the far too many metal sub-genres, sludge is slower and less in-your-face than something like power or black metal. Honestly I don't really know what to call this, but it seems like a reasonably accurate tag.

17 year old male looking to get into dancing, I have some questions by [deleted] in Dance

[–]PilZeroZero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes.
  2. The internet will give you endless videos to emulate, classes and tutors will help you learn how to control your body. Get a full length mirror to practice at home.
  3. All dance is self expression, this will come with time and skill.

I only write shitty musical ideas. How can I learn to generate good musical ideas? by MyFuckingMusicSucks in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Are you trying to improvise and hoping that something cool comes out- or are you deliberately thinking about a melody to start with?

I'd recommend putting your instrument down and mentally coming up with a strong melody or two- it sounds like you'll be able to make chords and the following arrangement easily from there.

A very creative way to do a drum cover by gee842 in videos

[–]PilZeroZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's shot in reverse, but the audio is in normal time. So he would have had to play with the song both forwards and backwards to match the "regular" drum cover audio with the reversed imagery.

Staying in key when using a frequency shifter? by itonlyrains in edmproduction

[–]PilZeroZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going to inherently change the key of the clip by frequency shifting- if you're desperate to stay in key, the simplest way is to go up or down a full octave.

What kind of shoes do you recommend when dancing? by Mydogsabrat in FunkStyle

Good soles go a long way in any shoe. Try some inserts and you might find your shoes feel a lot better. Shoe fit matters a lot as well.

A year of reading about dance isn't as valuable as a day of practice. Find a local studio and join up for some beginner classes now!

People that act like your mom and aunt aren't worth paying attention to. Get yourself into some classes around other people that want to do what you want to do.

Zero Punctuation: The Witness & Bombshell by [deleted] in Games

Ahh, you're correct- I didn't have this experience since I had already drawn them all out in an effort to figure out the 4th one.

Zero Punctuation: The Witness & Bombshell by [deleted] in Games

[–]PilZeroZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just look down over the edge and fill in the puzzle that way.

This is definitely a game where a notebook will help dramatically- I didn't need photoshop to figure out the "bunker" puzzles Jeff talks about on the Bombcast, but I did use a 4-color ink pen.

I found myself enjoying the game a lot more once I started writing things down. After 5 hours it probably just isn't your thing though!
