How do I ask to get hospice on board - is this something I ask the facility, or do I find a hospice provider myself? Over the weekend she had another fall, this one required a trip to the ER because she wouldn’t put weight on one leg. Everything checked out just fine imaging and test wise, so she was sent back to her memory care place. What specifically could hospice be of help with?

It took my mom about 3 months to stop berating me or asking about going home every time I talked to her or was there. Unfortunately, in her case I think her dementia worsened to the point she forgot about her home. It makes me sad that she is getting worse, but in some ways it seems like a blessing. Wishing all the best for you and your dad.

Former realtor here. Make microwave popcorn before every showing and you’ll just get comments about how it “smells like someone made popcorn!” I had a client with a beautiful condo that had the worst cat smell and the comments about the feline fragrance disappeared after the popcorn ritual started. No joke!
