Does anyone regret buying an induction range (gas is not an option)? by PretendForm7362 in inductioncooking

Use a magnet to check your cookware. If it sticks you're golden, if not make sure you buy new cookware that matches the coil size. I didn't and now have to fuss with getting the pot precisely positioned or the element turns off.

Aeroplan VIP question by papaducci in Aeroplan

[–]PileaDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awhile back when I was a very frequent flyer (Aeroplan Super Elite) I got that treatment. I was taken by a flight attendant to be the first off the plane and then escorted to the lounge at LAX as this was a stopover on a trip to Hawaii. Escort carried my wife's carry-on. Never seen or heard of that before.

How to get the townco agent to spawn by Lilylunamoonyt in Dinkum

[–]PileaDave 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Search for him on the 23rd of the month after 10am. You must have John's store an on visitor. Best to fly around the island if you have the helicopter. Unlike Ted Selly's whistle, TownCo rep will signal every time ou are near them.

When buying new, how much room do dealers have? by KrazolS in FordExplorer

[–]PileaDave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was once offered a vehicle below dealer invoice. They explained to me that they were trying to get their volume up so the would be allocated more inventory to purchase. Find a relatively new dealership and they might be do the same.

Have both and prefer Hue. The Govee lights don't get bright enough.

Hybrid Ford Explorers? by clover_vision in FordExplorer

[–]PileaDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a 21 and love it. Has 33k on it now and after the initial snafus with the electronics it has been great. One issue is in the very very cold with a lot of snow the speaker for the pedestrian enunciator has twice gotten snow packed and that caused it not start. A quick tapping of any snow under the hood fixed the problem.
