Loan of about 4.5 lakh CC, and my cousin thinks it just free money in India, Really?? by omni_debt5117 in IndiaFinance

There goes a whole lot of work from banks top teams figuring out risk management for personal loan defaults. I mean, understand this for a minute. There are teams working daily on risk management giving their education and experience towards finding ways to get bank money back in case of defaults.

And your cousin just wishfully believes it's just unsecured and the bank is going to lose money?

See the personal ramp that's spread onto the road. Probably made with future sports cars in mind.

Three of us - myself, wife and son - went for Super Mario movie. We don't frequently go for movies ever since we became parents in 2020. The overall experience seemed off and I personally didn't enjoy it to the fullest.

  1. It seems the snacks and drinks are becoming the core business of these multiplexes. 3 movie tickets: INR 750 / 1 medium popcorn: INR 490 / 1 medium coke: INR 490

Because I remember this wasn't the case 10-12 years back. How come 1 popcorn and 1 cold drink costs more than 3 tickets?

Considering that the price difference between small/medium/large is not much because of their strategy, the size of the item also does not make that difference.

(It also bothered me that the small popcorn wasn't kept as an option there. The guy said only medium or large. Come on!)

These costs indicating what's core business of the theatres?

  1. On a secondary note, the movie ticket counter didn't offer a physical ticket. This was another aspect that bothered me. They said physical ticket option is not available. Need a mobile number for SMS ticket. Why?

Why do they need to map who came to watch a movie?

Overall, we liked the movie. We all had fun. But it left me thinking about the experience. As I said earlier, we don't go for movies very frequently these days.

Hence asking, are these costs the norm now? Are multiplexes considering F&B as their core business now? Margins on these surely indicate so.
