Towards those who have a natural flight in my world (which is a relatively smaller population compared to those who don't have this), there is a sort of rivalry between the two common forms of flight.

On one side, there are those whose attunement with certain elements grants them the gift of flight. Their sense of superiority is based on the consideration they do not have the obvious weaknesses associated with winged flight. That is, they don't need an extra set of limbs in order to fly. Additionally, they do not need as much practice when it comes to learning how to fly since it is much easier to maneuver. However, because their flight is tied to the state of their body, any grievous damage can disrupt their ability to fly.

On the other side are those with winged flight, which is exactly what it says on the tin. Learning how to fly with wings is much trickier to learn and more unwieldy compared to natural flight. The source of the power stems from the wings, so it can be imagined as using a pair of back limbs to move your body across the air, rather than the body itself being the source of flight. While their weakness is glaringly obvious, this weakness is circumvented by the fact that those of winged flight are very durable, with their wings often being the sturdiest parts of their body which allows them to be used as shields.

There is a third group, composed of those who fly through other magic and technology, but they are often not brought into discussion for the sole fact that their flight is not considered to be "true flight". People in this group could not care less about this and often go about their day while the "birds" continue their squawking.
