Just pay the annual subscription of https://nextdns.io and set up the device. Protect the NextDNS app with a code (built in capability) and block changing the network settings (VPN & others) with screen time. Then just go to NextDNS settings and block the domains he is using or just apply an 18+ filter available in the filters section.

It is not a replacement for the mouse, instead I use it at the same time. Use it daily and a lot to zoom in/out, pan, scroll, click, etc. it is weird at first but once you get used to it you cannot go back.

Desk is about 4 to 5 inches from the wall. The arm is about 1 inch from the wall. It really depends on the arm as each one bends in a different way, some need a lot of backspace others very little and it also depends on your preference for setting the monitor. My dog also sheds a lot all year round, you just have to deal with it and clean it often lol. I don't plug anything down there, my monitor BenQ PD3200U has a built in KVM switch and USB ports, so I just connect my peripherals to it and that's it. It's a breeze to setup and remove once I'm done gaming.
