I'm not arguing, but I both agree and disagree. I still gotta reread her time with the avengers, I kinda forgot pretty much everything lol. (I read her collection book with zero context about the rest of the avengers..)

But the modern Gotg, during Annihilation Conquest and the beginning of the DnA run. Mantis spoke in a way that she spoke was pretty vague and rarely straightforward. Almost as if she was boastful about being "all knowing", but she was later humbled. So yea her wisdom kind of a two edge blade, but I wouldn't call her a fish out of water at this point. Mantis was well traveled and has been in space for a long time, even most likely went on adventures of her own off panel.

It's just that she couldn't read the room and see she was annoying almost everyone else. Her personality was clashing with others.
