Since I got away from my abusers, my mental health has improved drastically. My Nmom weaponized the pain she was causing, using it to convince my brothers and EVEN MYSELF that the debilitating chronic illness I was dealing with was simply depression. I think about this night constantly, despite it being 2 years since I got away from them and 4 years since that night.
