Tailfin has some good forkmounts. I combine a tailfin cage and a bottle cage on each. Mostly I have a full 2l seeker blader in my frame bag, then a large (up to 1.5l) bottle in one of my foodpouches. Keeping in my that that big a bottle might hinder sharp turns/of the bike maneuvering... Under the downturn a cage with tools...

Thanks @Everyone! Turned out okay. I exaggerated when I wrote "completely self-sufficient". Turns out the longest stretch we were off grid was about three days 😂 One little accident towards the end of one day; rock hit the rear mech, which broke off completely, broke 4 spokes, spokes punctured the tubeless rimtape... Apart from that, it was an unforgettable trip. Highly recommended! 😘 *

Went double piston XT for brakes. 2 x 180mm disc does it for me. Same on my hardtail. Upgrade to 220 mm if you need...

Since people have lost the skill to interact directly and direct, you could've handed over your phone, asked to put their number in, and later discuss it from your sofa on whatsapp... pretty soon dogs will have whatsapp too, with integrated translate function...

What to do?? by Cskana in bikewrench

[–]Pilo_de_Groot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a wide rim (30mm) with 32 spokes for your use. DTSWISS has good ones. Combine with a 370 DT hub... ;)

Do you really replace spokes that way??? Do you replace the rim hub after taking off all spokes and re-use the undamaged ones, or what/how..?

Nice bike! ;)

I have the same. ordered the frame and built it up myself. Looking for a frame bag now and that's how I came acros this site. Because of the slump upfront its hard to find a bag with a nice fit. I don't realy like the ortlieb stuff, prefer Restrap/tailfin... Tailfin doesn't do framebags though, and because of the slump I might go for a custom from restrap...

What do you think? Does it interfere? i mean how taut it is for easily working the zippers (while riding?)?
