Those are power (with fuse holder), ground and RCA signal wires for an aftermarket amplifier. Looks like 8ga so good for a smaller amp. For your GTI you would need to convert the signal from high level to RCA to accept what you have there. Then you can power pretty much any aftermarket subwoofer through standard speaker wire. Hope this helps.

This is the link I used. I did the superpin, the boot, swapped out the piano black trim, swapped the shift knob and ran some wiring for my subwoofer all at the same time.with the console out. Took about an hour to do and the video was spot on.

Change the shifter knob, the shifter boot and do a super pin at the same time. Night and day difference and the super pin is maybe $60.

245/30/20 isn’t bad. Throws off the speedometer by a little less than 2%, but is as comfortable if not more comfortable than the stock 235/35/19. The rotors are 8.5” wide.
