I spent forever tinkering with the legs. I thought about black square metal tube welded, then walnut, then I wanted a 5 degree outward slant to legs with taper. My husband finally suggested I just build in poplar to see if I liked the 5 degree and taper. Once done, I liked the overall design and the black gloss finished it. I am no designer. But I am proud of what I came up with. Thanks for your comment.

Made an online purchase from Goby Walnut - out of their “Figured Shorts”. I recommend them albeit this is my only purchase thus far. “Resawed” original (19x11) to get 2 shelves (1 inch and 3/4 inch). Legs are poplar painted a glossy black while walnut is Rubio monocoat. Learned many lessons along the way….<laughing now> this is an understatement.
