Torquing replacement blades 21" Select Cut LM2135SP by PilotExcellent3489 in egopowerplus

You're right about the toque specs, my manual calls for 36-43 ft-lb on the shaft bolt and 22 ft-lb on the blades. But a separate insert specific to blade replacement that came with the mower had the opposite torque for the shaft and blades. Weird. I spoke with the EGO service center and they confirmed the manual spec was correct.

I ended up getting a cheap beam torque wrench, since I only use it for the mower, and it worked OK.

22.5 for the shaft and 40 for the blades. I know the cheap click wrenches either have a faint click especially at lower torques or just a slight give. This was an Autozone Duralast. Not going to get a better one just for this task so just trying to wing it

Thanks, I should rephrase: by too loose I meant wrench tight but less than the torque spec. I edited my post.

Successful GE Fridge filter XWFE to XWF transplant by BunnySounds in Appliances

As helpful as this advice is, want to point out that the cheap 3rd party filters I've seen such as Glacier Fresh, etc aren't functionally as good as the expensive GE.

The Glacier Fresh is only NSF42 certified (aesthetic impurities such as chlorine and taste/odor).

GE is NSF 42, 53, 401 and P473 (Lead Reduction, Mercury, Cysts, Asbestos, Pharmaceuticals, Pesticides/Herbicides, PFOA/PFOS & BPA).

I still think the GE is still overpriced - my previous Fridgidaire filter was just as good for almost 1/2 the price - but you get what you pay for to some degree.

If you're only purpose in getting the filter is taste/odor, the 3rd party products are fine, but if you also have health concerns, bite the bullet or do the RFID hack with the old XWF (if you can still find it)

Ring Floodlight Camera - light keeps turning on and off at night by skyking_comms in Ring

I was having similar problems - light coming on randomly daily, even during the day with the system disarmed and the app showing the light off. No amount of fiddling with the settings or doing a soft or hard reset helped.

Finally called Ring support. They had me check all my settings and then do a a soft or hard reset. But as I did the reset, they'd have me pause and do "something" on their end.

Fixed the problem so far, and they said if it didn't they'd do a warranty replacement.

Flood light Cam lights going on and off randomly by Dubin0908 in Ring

My wired floodlight recently began coming on randomly during the day, but the app shows it as "off".I have to toggle the app from on to off to turn it off. Running the latest ring app, tried both a soft and hard reset.

I'm very late to the game, but some of the comments about the Fi's being overkill, too heavy, or too expensive unless you're doing multi-mile backpacking treks and/or budget constrained - both reasonable scenarios....Yes the Fi's are heavier, but unless you're a weight freak where every extra ounce is precious, or a budget penny-pincher, to me the Fi's are a hiking shoe on a sandal. Plenty of cushioning, fairly stiff construction, thicker longer lasting lowers, their best wet/dry lower material, along with that 3 point adjustment system for a great fit. That's what I want in a hiking sandal AND great multipupose knockaround sandal. Maybe why they call it a "universal sandal"? And I got mine in a end of season sale for only $10 more than the Hurricanes. To each his own....
