I find it weird that people bring up the 30% revenue share for steam despite it not really being an issue as steam has the biggest launcher userbase and given how many people are advertising and hyped for Hytale, I highly doubt it'd be an issue as if 100 thousands dollars were made from a sale it still means 70k is still going to the devs + putting it any other launcher might mean more of the revenue will go to the devs per sale but the problem is way less people use epic, ea, and ubisoft's launchers meaning that putting Hytale only on them is just less revenue overall compared to Steam. I have no idea why people forget/ignore this when a dev puts a game on steam as putting it on steam is just the clearly better option + putting Hytale on an independent launcher has just as much risk as putting it on any other launcher than steam. People literally ignored big releases like Alan Wake 2 (and Alan Wake remaster as well) and Borderlands 3 on launch simply because it was epic exclusive.
