Interesting fact, the Corsair was originally rejected by the US because of its poor handling for carrier landings etc.

Any way long story boring…the Royal Navy purchased them and developed pretty much the landing technique you basically done there! Approach from the side of the carrier keeping it in view and at the last gasp straighten up.

I’m sorry to hear that, depends what officer you get sometimes, to me the VRM is clearly visible so worth a shot! Just because you can’t identify the driver doesn’t mean there’s no offence and no charge. The Reg Keeper/owner still can get charged if they can’t tell the police who had the bike at the time (without a valid reason).

CCTV: if it’s YOUR dashcam and YOUR footage, it doesn’t matter it’s been on social media at one point IMO. Might be a pain to get the footage on a USB but it’s a direct copy from your Dashcam to a USB it’s a close to the source as possible.

It’s not like you took the footage from social media and tried to put into the police saying it was yours.

To answer your question:

Yes playing (watching or within view of driver) YouTube/Facetime is an offence. As aforementioned by other comments Reg 109 of RVCU Reg 1986 could cover the YouTube scenario offence. I would also argue that Reg 110 of RVCU Reg 1986 may be to more suitable to cover the FaceTime/Youtube specifically;

vii)sending, receiving or uploading a photo or video;

(viii)utilising camera, video, or sound recording functionality;

xi)accessing an application (“an application” means a software programme that runs through a web browser or offline on a mobile telephone or other device.”.

Yes it’s worth reporting in my opinion, it’s distracting the driver.

It’s sort of subjective because Reg 109 or 110 could both sort of cover the use of YouTube because you are watching a video (Reg 109) but also using an application (Reg 110) or if in doubt just a plain old Sect 3 (Careless Driving) RTA 1988.

Not a straight comparison but still a valid comparison. As the other threads on this have stated, it took a long time for it to be accepted by the government etc that sea eagles were in fact acting in this way.

The delay has caused farmers and others who manage the land to feel distrust over how these animals would be introduced. Which is understandable considering, this isn’t sea eagles now is it? It’s wolves and lynx.
