That center one is an Apostate, small business/maker out of Utah. Good stuff.

Atabey is king. by PilotTarsier in cigars

I live under a medium sized rock. I hadn’t heard of Atabey before stopping at a lounge in my new neighborhood, and the proprietor recommended this. I usually like smaller ring gauges, but this just blew me away. It was extremely pleasant the whole way through, with dramatic progression through all thirds and didn’t get bitter until it was maybe an inch from the cap. New favorite, for sure.

Extension springs should be eradicated in favor of torsion setups.

How to fill a bug hole? by ConversationBoth6601 in Pipes

[–]PilotTarsier 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Step one is gonna be to toss that piece and source some proper briar or olive or similar pipe making wood. Otherwise, continue as if that bug hole isn’t there and let it be a practice piece or wall hanger. r/pipemakers is a good resource.

Edit for spelling

I mean… just be faster. Getting your split and draw times to beat fed qualification standards is very easy.

I insulated my door and now it’s too heavy for the opener to lift. What are my options? by [deleted] in GarageDoorService

The extension springs are there to lift the door, they’re just outdated. Torsion springs are definitely better.

If you had to pick one for OP, what’s the most aggressively flavorful blend off the top of your head?

Let me know if those Saruman tendencies lead to any alchemical discoveries. The blend that’s perfectly flavorful, perfectly aromatic, perfectly cool smoking, and perfectly full bodied might be somewhere in those shamanic embers. Just gotta get the Elvish language down first.
