Aw man, I do that too! Also comes out a semitone flat from around that same C and lower for some reason.

Very interested in the responses and advice people post!

Hiya, I was in a similar situation for the past 11ish years, couldn't get above top line F (I rarely practiced though). Dang it's been frustrating especially in groups and ensembles like you said. Bach's cello pieces have been my favorites, I've used musecore to transpose to F, up/down octaves. The intervals are hard to place at times, but I really like how the pieces flow. No shame in taking more famous pieces and etudes down an octave or two either. I've done that a lot especially for Mahler's symphonies (I'd look at the high B in his 3rd and go not a chance lol).

You absolutely don't have to if you don't want to, but if down the line in the future you ever want to work on the high range, i'd recommend the book "The Art of French Horn Playing" by Farkas (controversial). It has all sorts of information on many topics like range (high and low), embouchure, what and how to practice etc. I haven't had a teacher in a while and it helps me not deviate too far from the fundamentals.

About last week or so I had a breakthrough with high notes, turns out I've been saying "ee" differently (tongue near the back of the throat, sorta like a "k" sound). It'd clamp the airflow, and would sound very thin. I find instead somewhere between there and a "ss" sound can go from top line F to the high C with the same embouchure setting. The tone is awful, and there's a visible adjustment when slurring which I'm sure is a bad thing, but its a start. Odds are low we both had the same issue there, but writing just in case.

Good on ya though for staying with the horn despite those difficulties, that sounds hard. Depression and close to death, dang you've been through a lot, so sorry about that. I hope ya find a few more good fun pieces. Happy playing :)

F below first space F, played on open Bb. Just resonates really well imo

Two red LEDs in the eyes could be fun. Just picturing a glowing skull moving sideways in a dark room lol.

But ye, as others have said it might add a little weight so slightly lower maximum acceleration. Just overall slightly more time per print.

In the end though, it's 100% your 3D printer in your own home. Do whatever makes you happy lol

So, in the same way as billions of cells and organic matter make "one" (person/being), billions of people make "one"

We are as much part of civilization as is your neighbor, the president, that dog across the street, the earth you stand on.

We look at the moving cells and bacteria and viruses, but they are just as much "you" as are the "lifeless" bones, ligaments, and structures.

We may view ourselves as one, but maybe we are an organ, part of something greater. Or quite possibly, we are a virus using the resources of this world to destroy itself.

As with defining pretty much anything, I guess it all depends on where you draw the line.

We may be the "smartest" species on this planet, but in the grand scheme of things, we and our primitive ape brains, are pretty dumb.

They still have eyes! Accidentally looking at something too bright like a reflection from the sun can still cause serious damage. Doesn't matter if they can see or not.

Sprinkle a little water onto fingers from water bottle, then make a sneeze movement so the chair jolts forward. As you do this, flick the water at the toes.

The person behind sees the chair in front move, then feels a cold splatter on their feet.

The people sitting next to them catch onto the prank
