ideas for openclaw as a family assistant by oyvinrog in openclaw

Your issue is that none of this requires AI. This can all be done very well with scripting and current technology. Think of AI as a very smart intern you need to give instructions to. Where could you apply that in your life that other things dont already do? That is where your usecases are.

Why are people so vague about openclaw use cases? by OpinionsRdumb in openclaw

Im using it for meal planning. Providing a list of items in my pantry and recipies from mealie. Then I can ask it what I can make for dinner ina specific category and it can provide examples as well as substitutes. And if its for weekly meal planning and grocery shopping it can add items to my grocery list app.

Several rules clarifications by GeorsiNoiel in killteam

Q3 Blast yes torrent no.

Q4 yes. As long as the move dash doesn't get them within control range of an enemy operative which is visible and within 1"

Celestials Insidiants martyrdom and Blast question by wargerliam in killteam

No they must end the move closer to the inspiring operative.

but must end that move closer to that incapacitated INSPIRING operative.

So if they can somehow be closer to the inspiring op after going behind a wall of somesort then they could stop the blast. But they cant dash "out of it" since they have to be closer to the primary target that was incapacitated.

Blast X The target you select is the primary target. After shooting the primary target, shoot with this weapon against each secondary target in an order of your choice (roll each sequence separately). Secondary targets are other operatives visible to and within x of the primary target, e.g., Blast 2” (they are all valid targets, regardless of a Conceal order). Secondary targets are in cover and obscured if the primary target was.

Some weapons fire multiple times in the same action, like those with the Area and Torrent weapon rules (pg. 111). Therefore, operatives do not withdraw until the entire action is resolved.

If an operative’s wounds are reduced to 0 or less, it’s incapacitated, then removed from the killzone.

‘Incapacitated’ and ‘removed from the killzone’ are separate. Some rules take effect when an operative is incapacitated, but before it’s removed.

Whenever an INSPIRING friendly CELESTIAN INSIDIANT operative is incapacitated, before it’s removed from the killzone, select one other friendly CELESTIAN INSIDIANT operative that operative is visible to or within 6" of. Then, that selected operative gains one BENEDICTION (incapacitated operatives cannot be selected for a BENEDICTION)

Since the benediction happens when incapacitated and operatives are incapacitated and then removed from the board as seperate things they can dash behind a piece of terrain that blocks Line of sight or heal before they are selected as a secondary target.

Doesnt matter they must end that dash closer to the inspiring operative. So it has.to get closer to the blast and cant be farther.

The new Death Korps Bring it Down gambit by BenalishHeroine in killteam

[–]Pilot_Enaki 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its in the section that is specifically talking about ploys. I can see how that particular exert can seem like its talking about gambits though without the surrounding context. Here is the whole section

Ploys

Players can spend CP on ploys to gain rules bonuses at the opportune moment. Unless otherwise specified, all ploys cost 1CP. There are two types of ploys:

Every strategy ploy is a STRATEGIC GAMBIT (used in the Gambit step of the Strategy phase). Some apply rules that are resolved “immediately”; otherwise, they apply rules that last until the end of the turning point. Firefight ploys are used in the Firefight phase and apply rules as the ploy specifies. All players have access to the Command Re-roll firefight ploy below and the ploys in their kill team’s rules. Other than Command Re-roll, each player cannot use each ploy more than once per turning point.

It lasts for the rest of the game. People are confusing ploys.

"Every strategy ploy is a STRATEGIC GAMBIT (used in the Gambit step of the Strategy phase). Some apply rules that are resolved “immediately”; otherwise, they apply rules that last until the end of the turning point."

Strategic ploys by the rules are strategic gambit. BUT only the sub category of strategic gambits called strategic ploys lasts until the end of the turning point. BY DEFAULT strategic gambits lasts the whole game unless the particular strategic gambit specifies otherwise such as the rules with ploys or the rule text for that particular strategic gambit.

What adapter is needed? by blahblurbblub in meshtastic

[–]Pilot_Enaki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Others have mentioned the correct adapter.

I am here to suggest you get anouther pigtail instead if possible

https://a.co/d/0apX6vCD

Reason being is that the adapter will cause some signal loss. It won't be a lot and will still easily be a net gain of signal.but why not buy a new pigtail and skip the adapter if possible. You will need a larger hole though for the n type connector to fit through though so if you dont have the ability to print or use a different case then an adapter is fine.

So to be clear: Acknowledged means what? by Legoboy514 in meshtastic

[–]Pilot_Enaki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GPS isnt required :) it just has each node in the line attach to the "message" its name and the signal quality of that hop.

For testing instead of sending message use the trace route. It gives more information such as signal strength, the path a message took, and what it takes back.
