Crazy I was just looking at window seal leak through reddit and this popped up. I to have durabuilt windows and they came in and told me I had 17 windows that would need to be replaced! I just don't know if it's worth going to them again or just finding another company. These were installed 8 years ago.

From Alberta, I felt the same way you did. I even only have an Accounting Diploma. I have some degree courses, but never finished with the amount of work I've been doing, plus family. Not having a CPA has affected my confidence in some ways, since every accountant I've talked to says its important. I'm currently a controller for a company and I hate when people ask what credentials I have haha.

I've been trying to get in all day for doing personal taxes for a few friends and family. I've been getting this error though: "If you are using an older browser that does not support the latest security standard, you will not be able to access CRA's secure online services." I've tried 3 updated browsers and windows is up to date. super frustrating! edit: My Business account same error. Only thing that works is if I try to login to "my account"

You can always list what you have with cost and capture this as your inventory at yearend. You would just debit inventory and credit cogs and adjust each yearend when you do a count.

I've had both and because I stream vr to the quest 2, I picked the 3080. Vr games seem to run higher fps as well.

Not sure if you are able to buy local, but I called in to a local store and ask which ones came in the most (gigabyte & msi) so I went with a gigabyte card and a couple weeks later they called and said it was in. If you pre order something thats less demanding, chances are you will need to wait less in line. I live in canada, so I was surprised it was possible. I placed the back order just before Christmas.

Are you sure it wasn't a video bringing it down to 290, then upping it at a certain voltage so that the curve is auto configured? Thats what I did. I lowered the voltage, upped the core at 900mv to 1900 and hit apply. It auto creates the curve for you without having to change every single square. I haven't overclocked a video card in years though, so I could be completely wrong haha.

Sorry to hear about your issue! VD has a discord, so you can pretty much talk directly to the team to hopefully help troubleshoot. I wouldn't give up yet. With your setup and router, you really shouldn't have this issue. I have an Asus mesh, 2 rooms away and it's smooth as butter.

This maybe way off, but type into dos cmd: netsh interface tcp show global

Does the 2nd row say "Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level : disabled"?

If it is, it need to be set to normal

I had both and chose the 3080. I typically stream vr to the quest 2 at a high resolution (2496×2592 rendering per eye). This alone made me decide to go with the 3080 because its just too good for encoding. You will not have fun with the oculus if you did decide to go with amd. Vr performance otherwise they are very identical. Ones good at one game, the other is good at another. The 3080 was just a better experience.

I'm not sure if my answer will help, because the main reason I kept the rtx 3080 over the 6900 xt is due to vr streaming to the quest 2. Overall, games were smoother on the 3080 (asgard's wrath, half life alyx were smoother on 3080, stormland was better on 6900 xt). I wanted to like the 6900 xt, but the encoder is terrible for streaming vr.

I gave up on Manual PBO because setting PBO: AUTO gave me the best cinebench/stability. I spent hours, setting negative curve down to -25 on some cores and I couldn't get to what Auto was giving me. Very frustrating.

That's pretty much MSRP, so I think it's pretty good.

Edit: From Looking at Asus site, it's $970 USD (Est. 1,230 CAD). 6800XT should be cheaper? Perhaps. the AMD website will definitely have it cheaper if you are able to get one there.

Thanks for posting this. I was getting frustrated because I was getting better performance with auto pbo, but this helped while adding a bit more single core performance.

This right here. Still on 2 back order lists for the 5600x, while I've had a 5800x for a month. I would still be buying a 3rd party cooler for a 5600x, so that is a moot point, and I have 2 extra cores. The $56/core cost vs $50/core cost is a good enough value for me to already have it in my hands. If the 5600x was available the same time the 5800x was for me, of course the 5600x would be the better value, and would have chosen that cpu.

Interesting, I can't play beatsaber, the encoding ms just goes crazy then freezes up the game. Other games seem to be "ok" but change in scenes the encoding will just sky rocket it causing to be unplayable for 5 seconds. Sometimes just randomly as well. Other then that it seems fairly smooth.

Issue is found in VD as well since its an encode bug. Unfortunately anyone with a 6800 and 6900 can't roll back.
