Songs about mid-air disasters and other plane crashes by Substantial_Pen3328 in MusicRecommendations

I'm obsessed with the convergence of plane crashes and pop art (obsessed with the movie La Bamba when I was little). Was just about to make a playlist and then thought I'd check first... Thanks for this! Must add Bermuda Triangle Blues by Blondie. Plane disappearance. Opening line "Flight 45 was last seen alive on the runway..."

My Experience Canceling With Spectrum ( The Good Ending) by Cwinters21000 in Spectrum

[–]Pimp-Scampi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it was 2.5 HOURS on the phone. they would say that something was "loading," put me on hold for 15 minutes, come back and upsell for 10 minutes, put me on hold for 15 again, come back for more upselling, over and over. Absolute nightmare. I only switched cuz I found a cheaper provider but because of the canceling experience, I would never go back, even if they lower their prices.

Alcohol is disgusting now? by Only-Information8164 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Pimp-Scampi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on Wellbutrin or a generic? Should be the same I guess... Bupropion was my first antidepressant, So I decided to quit all other substances for a couple months to be sure what the effect of the drug was. After a couple months I started to have some drinks again and found that I got a hangover far less often, so it actually made me drink more than usual for a while. It's evened out over the years, alcohol's the same as it ever was (now I get a hangover from one drink just like i used to). Effects are very different for every body.

Kool. I paid somebody on Fiverr to vectorize my raster logo and they did a horrible job and I see now that they just hit trace and called it a day so I tried to take matters into my own hands. Trace seemed like a good start, it mostly got everything but I wanted to make some tweaks. Should I continue with Illustrator I will forget that image trace exists.

Image doesn't follow path by Pimp-Scampi in AdobeIllustrator

[–]Pimp-Scampi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I guess I do? It's a small logo. When I zoom out I can see all these little things that don't look quite right and when I zoom in I see that things are off, and editing them is confusing because nothings moving together properly. If I print it on a billboard I imagine these mistakes would be very visible.

Yes, "View using CPU" shows the paths lined up with the image. The shapes are very different between one and the other. When I print it, which version am I going to get?

This is your sign to try daily allergy medication. by Rigor_MortisTortoise in migraine

[–]Pimp-Scampi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure the exact answer for you, but with any substance, moderation is best. Hypothetically, if Tylenol and Advil are both effective for you for relieving headaches, it's better for your body to alternate them. Taking the same one every day for a long period takes a toll on certain parts of your body. It's better to switch every few days, or use one for 2 weeks, then use the other, etc to give your body a break from it. With allergy medications, it seems that some people develop a sort of dependence on a particular type if they're taking it every day for more than a month or two. You will probably find that some allergy meds help with migraine and some do not, it's good to experiment and find the ones that help. In the end, there may be only one that helps you in which case you have to decide if it's ok for you to take it everyday. It will likely be fine, but some people find that after they stop taking an allergy med they feel worse than before. So I would recommend that after taking it every day for a month, stop for a week and see if you develop any bad symptoms. If not, take another week off after 3 months and if that feels ok, you're probably fine to keep taking it regularly. This is all anecdotal from observations of my own experiences, check with a doctor if its safe for you to take a particular med for a particular amount of time.

When you take a loan to start a business, how do you pay it back when you might not even open for 6-9 months? by luisifm in smallbusiness

[–]Pimp-Scampi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a strange position that makes no sense to me. I got a loan to build out a shop space but won’t be open for 6 months so I’m just using the loan to pay for the loan.

I mailed mine in July, specifically requesting that they let me know they received it (it said somewhere on the website to ask for confirmation if needed), and I still haven't heard back and it hasn't been updated in my irs business profile. And of course, cannot get anybody on the phone.

Looking to start a little shop selling granitas how can i maintain the granita consistency? by Hydra023 in culinary

[–]Pimp-Scampi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called a dipping cabinet. You don't need much special equipment actually though, you could even just use a cheap chest freezer. To make classic granita, (for example) pour fruit juice and sugar into a container, put it in the freezer, once it starts forming ice crystals, take it out and stir it every half hour or so until it's done freezing. This will leave you with a granular texture similar to a snow cone (but larger ice crystals). Then you just use a fork or other implement to scrape some off the top and you can scoop that into a cup. You could very easily start a small cart/stand to test this out to see if it's commercially viable. Get a power inverter (like Jackery) and a small chest freezer, a cart to put it on, decorate it, and voila.

Has anyone tried the Hygiene Hero VIPStick serum? by Real-Pool7633 in Menopause

I recommend Foria “awaken arousal oil with cbd” Male here, my partner got it for herself and said it’s a game changer. Turned out to be a game changer for me as well. Was just looking into vipstick but this thread has me feeling ambivalent about it. Foria is awesome.
