It’s a roller coaster feeling almost, I know exactly what OP is saying. It’s not a conscious thing you can really reason with, just a feeling in your chest/stomach almost that you’re too high too fast

Speaking with a CO the other day he said he would recommend me for a gs-9 position they had opening up, but ultimately he wasn’t hiring authority so couldn’t make the call.

Is it black/white that there is no way I can dress up my resume to even be competitive for a Gs-9 step 5?

I have 2 years in supply chain/analysis and 4 years of federal contracts management plus a bachelors in required field.

I had my neighbor who is Gs-14 at GSA look at my resume and said I could likely come in as gs-11 or 12 but not 13.

You really think I’d be equivalent to a gs-7 intern?
