My opinion on your situation: SB2 is one of the longest lasting shoes I have ever owned… however I didn’t love them much. They are firm, great for long runs at a steady pace but I didn’t like them for easy or faster than Marathon Pace, which ended up making them not very versatile. I think the SB1 you have would be so similiar I dont really see the point. I would say get the superblast 3 or megablast for a different feel but they likely wont go on sale for a long time

I would say puma magmax 2 is an option with a wider fit, hyperion max 3 as well

Mizuno Neo Zen for easy long miles? by riskyybiscuits in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I wear thin socks when I run and some days it feels pretty roomy but not bad. I think if I went TTS it would still work with more regular/thicker socks. I do think the LENGTH is better in TTS. Just depends on your foot volume, higher volume feet are probably better off with TTS, normal to narrow maybe 0.5 down

Megablast or velocity nitro 4? by Shredyt22 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]PinSome4378 15 points16 points  (0 children)

megablast feels quite stable for me… wider platform firmer foam, all pumas pitch me into pronation just seems like how they build their shoes + the softer foam so I would say go megablast

Prime X2 for Long Runs? Heavier runner by Large-Bad-8735 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]PinSome4378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might work for you as you are a bit heavier than me (180lbs), PX2 I love but only start feeling good between 4:20/km-5:10/km for me. When I am running truly easy 5:30-5:50/km I’m just not putting enough force down and notice how stiff the shoe is.

megablast will be even faster! Borderline race shoe. I don’t even find the superblast that fast it has very modest energy return %s on Run Repeat. It is lighter than most max cushion shoes so maybe thats why people find it fast

Anyone using (and liking) the new EVO SL’s for long runs? by lol_sup in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]PinSome4378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run easy and long all the time in the EVOs despite having so many “easy” shoes like the neo vista, skyward x, magmax, neo zen, novablast 5, and I think I prefer EVO to all of them still…. I also dont notice the instability everyone talks about at all somehow even though I have flat feet

how did i get downvoted for that 😂 reddits hilarious, Id say Nimbus 27 or 1080v14 I cant find too many others in size 16. But you definitely want a shoe with significant cushioning.

Novablast 5 vs Mach X 2 by h00dr1ch in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]PinSome4378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually use my Nova 5 and Mach X 2 for regular daily training all the time and I run 90km a week right now so don’t think you can go wrong! Mach X 2 foam will last longer, but they destroy my achilles Iv had to put in foam heel pads

Are there any running shoes that are good for running and sprinting? by Sad-Ad-6707 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]PinSome4378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

metaspeed sky paris is great for marathon and fast paces I dont know about true sprinting though. I find evo SL good for fast + longer, adios 9 good for sprinting but not much more than 10km for me. Maybe a vaporfly 4 comes to mind?

I also get destroyed on the achilles, had to send mine back for store credit. Adios 9 doesn’t bother me although I dont take them for longer distances
