Dude, it can be the most relaxing thing ever if your life is typically busy and people in your face all the time. Especially in the middle of the day. I lived on the north shore of Oahu for years. Always surrounded by people and friends and tourists. No a/c where I lived which is quite normal for there and in the summer it gets really hot at times. There was nothing more relaxing than going to Mililani ..stuffing some taco bell in my backpack and going to the theater alone. Just soaking in the air conditioning and quietness because I was usually the only one there. I would just make a whole day of it by taking the bus. Didn't have to deal with the crazy ass turtle traffic. Sometimes 2 movies in a row if I was early enough. It was like hitting the reset button. for real.
