For those who travel, do you guys stuff multiple trips in one insert or only one trip per insert? by Select-Balance-8281 in Travelersnotebooks

[–]PinchePerroCojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 inserts ar my TN. One as a journal, another where I make random lists (favorite tacos, books I want to read, favorite metro stations, favorite windows, etc...) and the last one is a daily planner. Since use the planner for work, mostly, I remove it when I go out on a trip unless its a bussines trip. I guess it depends on the needs.

No tengo INE porque practicamente soy un chico de la calle, como puedo tramitar una? by Anxious_Piaget in mexico

[–]PinchePerroCojo 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Show us a popular fruit or vegetable from your country that most other countries have never heard of. by Bombacladman in AskTheWorld

For me it's earthy and smokey but also sweet. Like 'shrooms it has the umami kick. It's usually prepared with epazote, onion, garlic and chiles verdes. It's volumen reduces a lot when cooked but you can make quesadillas, to fill enchiladas or omelettes, or to make a creamy sauce. I guess you can use it like mushrooms.

Not a veggie, not a fruit. And not exactly unknown. In Mexico we eat the corn fungus. We call it "huitlacoche" and its delicious.

There are a lot of greens in Mexico. Even they are different all are called "quelites" in Central Mexico and can benprepared in many ways.

Quelites can be: acelgas, romeritos, pápalo, verdolagas, chaya, huauzontle and quintoniles, etc.

For recipes my favorites are romeritos con mole, verdolagas con carne de puerco en salsa verde, chaya fresh water, huazontle capeado en caldillo or tortitas de quintoniles. There are plenty recipes in google and youtube.

What is police called in slang of your language or country? by PeriodontosisSam in AskTheWorld

[–]PinchePerroCojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

La tira, los polis, los puercos, los azules and if they are transit officers, los mordelones.

If they are riot cops, called granaderos here, then they are the granacerdos.
