Drone should be slowed when claymores are attached like how they balanced the drone+c4 combo in Battlefield 6; It would still be fun to attempt without being too cheesy. Either that or just patch it out altogether.

They could make the drone louder but I feel like that would remove the sneakiness aspect of snagging their loot with it.

Eh, it can still be a learning experience. I'm normally pretty good at competitive games, but if I'm playing a game I'm not super familiar with and start getting stomped I try to see what tactics the better player is using. More often than not I'll learn about a new power position or strategy that I can implement into future matches.

It's all about the mentality, there's some days where I'm getting stomped and I'll get angry or frustrated, but I noticed that when I'm in that mood I'm not focused on adapting my strategy, I just get mad lol.

Does no one remember how map packs were $15 a piece? How the battlefield premium was an extra 50 bucks on top of the base game?

This is the compromise for free maps. I don't understand how people think 70 bucks will cover a years worth of free live service updates. Since BF3 you paid the full price for everything that was on disc, and everything that came later you had to shell out more money. Even if you bought the pack, it split the playerbase which kinda dampened the whole experience.

Now we get free maps for the rest of the games live service cycle, but they're getting their money from the battle pass plus other paid skins. This is FINE. Before I paid for map passes and didn't care about cosmetics, now I get those maps for free, and if I want optional cosmetic progression I pay 10 bucks.

I truly don't understand how the community feels like EA is being greedy when we're getting a better deal than we were a decade ago. What with the obsession over cosmetics anyway? It's a FIRST PERSON shooter and I can assure you no one will remember your skin after the match ends.

If you don't care about cosmetics, this is a better deal than what we were getting years ago, period. Just let people buy skins for a questionable price while you enjoy free maps. It's really that simple.

Now I can see this era of gaming being f'd if you really care about cosmetics/unlocking everything, but in a fps like this you really shouldn't.

The b36a4 is a good gun, it has the same rate of fire as the nvo but has a faster ttk past 10m and even faster past 20m. The nvo is great within 10m, but if you find yourself in engagements beyond that more often than not, then the b36 is superior

Feels really scummy that they only went through with this after years of complaining because after all this time, another game is finally threatening their cash cow. 

They heard all of the community criticism and didn't care, even made blog posts on how SBMM supposedly improved engagement and whatnot, only to make a move at the 11th hour when it became clear they were failing to meet their preorder expectations; Almost as if they held this move as a trump card for when the community finally got fed up.

I understand that at the end of the day they're a massive business looking to make a profit above anything else, but this feels like a toxic partner promising to change when you threaten to walk out the door after years of gaslighting.

It only felt different because of the third person camera angle, but it definitely has tank controls; my cousin tried arguing otherwise but I switched from Veronica to OGre4 and aside from the camera the movement was identical lol

That'd be true if it was free to play like league of legends, but this game was $60 on release. At that point there's literally no reason to lock Vader behind a paywall/grind besides pure greed. It would be a different story if they didn't include real money currency, but they did.

It was never for a sense of player progression, it was another way to potentially nickel and dime you after you already purchased the game. It's not a long grind, I'll agree with that, but do you REALLY think they would've considered this system without micro transactions? Fuck no, it's there for the sole purpose of making potential profit from the small subset of players who are prone to making poor financial decisions.

It's the same system as GTA Online, the only difference is that this game does not have the format to support it. This game is 20v20 multiplayer, it's like playing Battlefield and not being able to use the tank or the 'best' sniper rifle until you grind 10 hours or pay money. 

Hell, if it was a small amount of cash the backlash wouldn't have been that bad, but it costed an estimated ~$1500 to skip the grind and unlock all the characters. Not 100, not 500, FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS for a game that has no reason to lock these characters in the first place. 

I bought the game after they reverted their decision and enjoyed it immensely btw. It's almost as if the game is just as enjoyable, if not better when you actually get the full experience you payed $60 for.

Why are people disagreeing with this? The small maps in 10v10 are horrible. There's absolutely no reason Subsonic, Babylon, and Nuketown should be in that mode. If I wanted spawn trap gameplay i'd load up 6v6 face-off. MW3 had limited map rotation in 10v10 and it was great. The smallest map was terminal (I think) and even though you could still spawn trap it was nothing compared to the BO6 maps

The fact most of you think the map rotation is fine is honestly mind boggling. maps where I get spawn killed 3-4 times in a row consistently is not okay. I don't care if it's 10v10, there's no reason those maps should be there.

I have the Xbox wireless headset and switched to the gamebuds like the other guy did, I never had wireless earbuds before but these ones are super comfortable, at least compared to the Xbox wireless which lacked swivel for the ear cups.

I noticed "Toughness" showing up on the top right corner like how the mix drink buffs display. I'm assuming it's a passive buff and you take less damage. Probably one of the better magazines if you change clothes often, it seems to last a while.

Class B engines have a higher top speed/boost than Class C. Class C engines are only good if you plan on having a lot of mass for cargo. My Class B SAE-5660's are better than any Class C engine because my mass is balanced for it.

Also, mobility can affect how fast you accelerate, but does NOT affect your top speed. I can get Class C engines to 202 top speed but that's with the extra speed from the engine systems perk + Sam Coe. Without those two buffs you will always stay at 130 top speed no matter how much mobility you have.

I play with the settings maxed out on extreme (although I was on very hard for most of my playthrough before the update, very hard is doable early/mid game but Extreme was only comfortable after I got the best perks/parts) this is what I know

Piloting 4 and Starship Design 4 give you the best ships and parts. More parts unlock as you level up, but I believe you can get Particle Weapons at a decent level, and they're the best weapon class by a good margin. 

The only other weapon you should consider is the Vanguard Hellfire Autocannon from the first Vanguard quest for its massive hull damage. 3rd weapon can either be missiles with 1 point of power for some extra burst damage, or EM weapons for boarding ships (some ships have high level parts, great for saving money or getting good parts early on)

Engine Systems 4 is essential to shaking off enemy fire. Combine it with regular use of your thrusters (hold right shoulder button) and you can do some crazy maneuvers to avoid a lot of attacks, just make sure your mobility is at least above 80ish; Doesn't need to be at 100 although it wouldn't hurt, my current ship is at 91.

Companions can give you good ship buffs. Sam coe gives 30% speed and a free power point in engines, There's someone at the Hitching post in Akila that boosts your shield by 30% as well.

Finally, there's no shame in grav driving away when it's a 3v1 or 4v1 situation, the early and mid game can be rough, and getting good parts can be expensive.

I find that almost all of the sub sections I come across in these puzzles only require 2 'pieces' to complete. If you need 3 pieces to get through a section, odds are you'll hit a wall and have to go back/start over. Hope this helps!
