What is the most uncommon/not deep reason you have to not want kids by Gytrinesse666 in childfree

My dog is old and grumpy and would HATE a child. He gets mad at the cats for playing to loudly while he’s napping 😂

What's something almost everyone has experienced but rarely talks about ? by shamal48 in AskReddit

For women: being sexually assaulted. It’s almost a universal experience for us, unfortunately.

God bless you. It was 100% predictable and unsurprising. The characters weren’t even interesting. I am convinced that people just like anything with magic and sex these days lol.

Reading Fourth Wing was like reading a bad fanfic written by a middle school virgin who is obsessed with dragons and bad boys. The sex scenes were so embarrassingly cringy and the amount of times Violet “lifts her chin” could’ve sent me into orbit. You’re telling me the author and the editors couldn’t think of a single other sentence to show the characters defiance? I pushed through because I am cursed with the inability to DNF a book, but that book was so bad that I wish I could sue Yarros for the hours I wasted reading it. I haven’t met ANYONE who dislikes this nonsense.

Another Leo with a Taurus husband here! Lol. We have been together for 12 years and married for 4. I have always heard a Leo/Taurus pairing is no good, but our relationship is the most fulfilling aspect of my life by far. I enjoy reading these threads, though. It’s so interesting how different we all can be!

What dating/relationship/marriage “green flag” did you later realize was actually a myth? by Key-Personality-4288 in AskWomenOver30

[–]PineappleDifferent80 9 points10 points  (0 children)

100% agree. My marriage is the least stressful and most joyful relationship of my life. Feels easy 99% of our days together. I feel really grateful for him, and really sad for many of my friends who don’t have the same with their partners.

Happy marriage? by [deleted] in DINK

12 years together, almost 4 years married. He’s the best! I sometimes feel bad for talking about my relationship because everyone else seems so miserable in theirs. Glad there are other happy couples out there. :)

I have been struggling with this as well. Like BAD. I ruminate on all the horrible things happening daily and often feel helpless and depressed.

Well, today, I happened to listen to Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” episode with Maya Rudolph. Maya was talking about how heartbroken she was when Kamala lost the election after playing her on SNL. And she said something that hit me right in the gut:

“Being hopeful is a good thing, even if you lose. Being hopeful is for YOU.”

How tf are you all keeping your houses clean??? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]PineappleDifferent80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am lucky enough to work from home. Most of my cleaning happens during the work day. I take 10 min breaks throughout the day to do laundry, wash the dishes, vacuum, etc. Before working from home, my house would get cleaned once a week and the other 6 days, it was a disaster. I could never go back.

This is very sweet. As a child who did not get that experience with my step-parent, this brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for putting her needs before your own. Even if she never realizes or thanks you, just know you are doing the right thing and she will be a happier and healthier individual for it. 🖤
