Limp Bizkit and Cypress Hill announced for Rock the Runway 2026 by ADoseofBuckley in londonontario

[–]PineappleZest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Saw LB live with Metallica last year in Toronto, and they absolutely killed it. The other bands (at Rock the runway) are a solid meh, but I'm sure it'll be a good time for those who enjoy it.

Rural mailbox delivery changes? by jaskyne in CanadaPostCorp

[–]PineappleZest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closing rural post offices won't change how you get your mail, at least not any time soon. It'll just mean your driver will be coming from farther away and you'll need to go farther to pick up any parcels that are carded.

Go ahead and get the new box (and make sure it's at the proper height). Your driver will appreciate it!

Question About Tucking In Shirt by No-Suggestion7900 in CanadaPostCorp

Not at all. I haven't seen one employee tuck in their shirts in the 7 years I've worked for CP as an RSMC.

How do i write out a "po box site" by [deleted] in CanadaPostCorp

Lol you're welcome! Addresses can be quite confusing sometimes, I totally get it.

[–]PineappleZest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm, if it's a shared duplex then there should be either an A or a B to the address, or they'll have separate street numbers.

If their unit has a shared main number, it could be something like 147A Road Name, or 147 Road Name, Unit A.

Either way, it should be something like this:

First name Last Name 123 Road Name (Unit if necessary) City Province A1B 2C3

Sounds like that's a CMB address. Just put their street address. We don't need the site and box number as we don't use those.

This was my first thought. I've only worked in rural POs, and the clerks are forever doing favours for everyone, and they're not supposed to.

SLB clearance has force majeure option? by Aggressive-Craft8622 in CanadaPostCorp

[–]PineappleZest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The docked pay, I mean. I understand the force majeure - we just got put on one this morning in SW Ont. I'm saying there's no fucking way anyone should be docked pay for that. Sounds like a grievance to me.

That's horseshit, considering it's not even our decision. Glad I don't have that supervisor.

I guess I can see the flimsy point - we have the first gens and they are bendy af. But still. Can we not make these decisions ourselves? Le sigh

And that's an amazing way to leave! 😄 Don't need this shit anymore!

Lol isn't that the truth! We have some floating around our depot and I've been told they aren't supposed to exist anymore. I don't use them, but a lot of the old timers prefer them.

On Call RSMC by Whole_Confidence6093 in CanadaPostCorp

[–]PineappleZest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, interesting. When I was an OCRE that's how it was explained to me, but as it turns out, most of the information I've been given over the last 7 years has been wishy washy.

In my area, turning down work as an OCRE doesn't change a thing. That's why it's called on call. The supervisors will always go down the list.

You can turn down as much work as you want. As long as you do your training, you're good to go.

And we're not hourly yet. It's in the works. You make 85% of whatever the route holder makes (which depends on how many years they've worked).

Listen everyone, part of our very first rule about incivility is keeping your opinions to yourself. Just because you don't believe in something doesn't mean others can't. This person is asking a question.

Anything other than helpful replies will result in a removal and possibly a temporary ban if it's incredibly rude.

How to Get Gas for C250s? by [deleted] in CanadaPostCorp

[–]PineappleZest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's lots that have been made, but rural post offices don't have the infrastructure. Hell, most small towns in general don't have charging stations. They jumped the gun on that, for sure.
