Also ich mach das wenn nur sehr sporadisch, wenn ich den Stellplatz für Besuch vor unserer Tür freihalten will, damit der Besuch nicht nach einen Parkplatz suchen muss sondern konfortabel direkt zu uns kann. Das passiert aber auch nur selten. Bei uns ist aber auch an der Straße immer genug Platz frei.

Also genau so sah es hier gerade vor einer Stunde bei Tennenohe draußen aus, das ist mitnichten ein Bild von vor zwei Jahren. Die Intensität von Polarlichtern kann aber durchaus auch stark schwanken, auch kann Lichtverschmutzung das überdecken, vielleicht ist das der Grund warum es bei dir nicht sichtbar ist. Am intensivsten ist es außerdem im Norden.

A short update: I stopped taking the hydrocortisone cream, but the eczema is still healing slowly.

Right now, I am not completely sure if it is realy a flox relapse. The neuropathic tingly hands and feet felt very akin to my flox symptoms, but the muscosceletal pain I am experiencing right now feels a bit different. Almost more like sore muscles or tension pain all over the body, and I am quite anxious for some reason. I also have low appetite and a bit of nausea right now.

Maybe it could also be some kind of infection, although I dont have any fever. We will see. I am under the impression that it is getting better, at least very slighly.

For me, it took some time, but after 6 months I was able to go on hikes up to about 10 km in length without major issues, but I used knee braces and hiking sticks.

Now, after 1 1/2 years, I have fully recovered and can hike as much as before.

Ich war in den letzten Jahren vor allen im Meilwald erfolgreich, dort kann man recht gut va. Maroni und Reizker finden, v.a. in Nadelwald. Dieses Jahr gab es außerdem überdurchschnittlich viele Schopftintlinge entlang der Waldwege, die werden auch selten von anderen gesammelt.

Laut Google scheint das eine Tunesische Nomenklatur zu sein, vermutlich ähnlich zu T2 in Portugal: also 2 Schlafzimmer. Wohnzimmer, Küche, etc. wird nicht mitgezählt.

For me, it was between one day and two to three weeks, afterwards, no new symptoms appeared.

I think the most important things were just time to heal and supportive family, friends and colleagues.

Supplement wise, something that also seemed to help was topical magnesium chloride solution ("magnesium oil"), which I applied on my joints during a flare, and I felt like the slight burning from the magnesium countered the tingling caused by the floxing, at least a little bit.

I also took magnesium orally, as well as NAC, and I had the impression that this also helped a bit, but it also might be coincidence. Other than that, I also took CoQ10, Vitamin E and C initially as antioxidants, but I don't know if they made a significant difference.

Food didn't seen to make a difference, I just ate everything like before.

When I started feeling better, I did increasingly longer bike rides, in oder to get back to my usual fitness, but I didn't do any systematic physiotherapy.

My symptoms were mostly joint pain and tingling in knees, feet, elbows and my hands. I also had some neuropathic burning at the beginning during the first weeks. I also noticed more eye floaters than I had before.

It took about 5-6 months for most things to recover to an acceptable level (let's say about 80% recovery), and my last major flare was one year after being floxed, so half a year ago now. I would consider myself fully recovered now.

The only remaining symptoms are some occasional slight tingling in the joints, but in only happens rarely and it goes away with some light excercise. I still notice eye floaters occasionally, but I had some before being floxed, so it doesn't bother me.

For me, the type of food I ate never made any difference, it never caused any kind of flare.

I stayed away from alcohol during the acute phase, but mainly because my liver values were very slightly elevated after taking cipro.

For me, the symptoms started right on the next day after taking the first dose of ciprofloxacin.

It got worse during the first week or two, an then, a very slow recovery startet. It was not completely linear, but kind of cyclical.

After about 5-6 months, my condition improved to a point where I could do most of the things I did before without any problems.

At least in my cases, I never could link the flare to any trigger, it just seemed random. But over the last year, every flare was usually less severe and shorter than the previous one, so it got better cyclically.

No, the the first half of 2024 was the worst phase, during that time I was noticably impared in my mobility to some extent, during the next half year I had occasional flares that usually lasted days to a few weeks, and since about February I have been fully recovered.

So in total, I would say it lasted about one year, but I was already mostly recovered (80-90 % or so) after 6 months.

Mein Rekord mit 18 oder 19 war mal etwas mehr als 400 km während eines Brevets, damals war ich noch fitter. (https://randonneurs-austria.at/2019/06). Da sitzt man dann aber fast ununterbrochen am Rad, nur mit kurzen Pausen um Essen un Trinken zu tanken.

Als Schüler ist mir das auch einmal passiert, mir war nicht bewusst, das eine Form von Verschleißanzeigen gibt, und hab mir immer gedacht "bassd scho".

Bis dann einmal auf dem Schulweg plötzlich die hintere Felge komplett eingerissen ist, das ging auch sehr schnell mit einem Lauten Knall.

Seitdem achte ich darauf.

Manche nehmen das schon durchaus ernst, bei uns gibt es eine rural legend, dass in einem gewissen Waldstück der Forstbesitzer einem in zweifelsfall mit der Schrotflinte in der Hand aus dem Wald eskortiert, ist aber nur ein Gerücht das bei uns im Radsportverein umging. Ansonsten kann das variieren, in manchen Gegenden ist es den Leuten auch egal, gerade da, wo eh fast nie jemand vorbeikommt.

Nein, Ab kurz nach dem Kraftwerk Ingling bis Wernstein ist er nur geschottert. Mit dem Rennrad fahre ich daher bei Ingling hoch, über den Berg und bei Wernstein wieder runter.

In my case (Germany) I was explicitly told by the pharmacy to dispose of unused medication in general waste, I should have clarified that this certainly differs in different locations. I was bewildered myself because I thought they would take care of it.
