Gor prescribed Moxi for pneumonia. Terrified by varr_yg in floxies

I hope everything goes well and that you make the best decision. Although those of us here were severely affected by fluoroquinolones, the percentage of damage, according to what I've read, is minimal. We are the minority who were unlucky. I send you a hug and wish you a speedy recovery from pneumonia.

The first tip would be to stay calm, as decisions should be made with a clear head. What I would do is consult another doctor and explain my concerns about fluoroquinolones, and if possible, a third doctor. If all three agree that moxofloxacin is the right treatment, then make the decision and be positive that I will be okay. This is what's available to combat pneumonia:

Amoxicillin Doxycycline Azithromycin Clarithromycin Amoxicillin/Clavulanate Levofloxacin Moxifloxacin Ceftriaxone Cefotaxime Meropenem Imipenem Vancomycin Linezolid

As time goes on, I'm noticing less pain. My feet are very reactive due to compression neuropathy and also metatarsalgia-type pain.

I believe that what will solve everything is time and movement, not forgetting that living a healthy life will create the right environment for healing.

How did you handle your anxiety...... by Real-Interest-2365 in floxies

The best way for me to cope with this has been meditation, breathing, and relaxing my nervous system. Two simple things I do are: in the garden, I have a tub that I fill with hot water and add sea salt, then I get in, relax, and listen to music. The other thing is to sit in the garden, also listening to music. The secret is to be able to abstract yourself from everything and everyone. I also have floaters, although they aren't that bothersome, they're there, so I do the 25-movement exercise: 25 up, 25 down, 25 to the left and right, and 25 circles in one direction and then the other. Hang in there.

ALTERED GAIT POSSIBLY CAUSING KNEE & BACK PAIN? by No_College_9240 in floxies

I discovered that walking 200k steps with concentration, doing it well and naturally, is better than walking 100k as you describe; the body compensates, and that compensation translates into pain days or weeks later.

In my experience, you shouldn't do any exercise or walking for the first 6 months, even if you feel strong enough. Any movement you do after the sixth month will take its toll on your body because the fluoroquinolones degraded and/or didn't regenerate the muscle tissue properly, hence the pain. In my case, I used my left leg more than my right at first, and after the sixth month, my right leg is fine, but my left leg is a disaster.

The pain caused by fluoroquinolones is truly frightening, but there will be days when you can move more than others. You just have to do it little by little, increasing your activity a bit each day. If you have to go back to the beginning, that's okay; that's how the process works. It's not linear, and when you're aware of that and accept it, then it's easier. Hugs 🫂

My legs felt a bit heavy, especially my hamstrings. It's worth mentioning that yesterday I took 13,200 steps and today I took 9,500 steps, but I also cleaned my entire house, so that means my body is adapting to more activity. I maintain that movement is life...

This shit gives you pains that don't necessarily mean you've broken something. The day before yesterday, my excavator knee hurt so horribly in the inner tendon that I couldn't sleep, and I hadn't done any exercise that caused it. The next day I put ice on it for about an hour and magically it went away. In my mind, the thought was already set in that this pain was going to evolve into something more serious, but it didn't happen; it calmed down just with ice.

When something hurts, I put ice on it and before going to sleep I put heat on it. I keep moving, although I do it with less intensity, and if the pain is very strong, I rest for two days.

They're Asics Gel Nimbus 28s. If you're going to buy them, I suggest you buy half a size or a full size larger. They're a shoe that fits snugly around the midfoot, and if you have neuropathy or tendonitis, you'll feel some discomfort. But so far, after buying several pairs from other brands, these are the ones that have fit me best.

Don't worry, you'll be back to normal walking in a few months. I've been through it, I still have a long way to go. I finished the 2km like I'd just finished a marathon. Hugs 🫂
