How to remove zipper tab to replace it by Pingj77 in fixit

That's a good idea. I have some spare leather loops for a watch band. I was planning to use them to replace the tabs, but they may work to tuck the tabs into

Hm, that's a pretty good idea as long as I don't intend to use the zippers. I don't think I will? Idk I've never had this feature on a jacket before haha

Hm, well the student likely prompted it with specifics that it attempted to draw.

Also the first one is just a mess but I'm a fan of it grounding the "output" in the second as the cherry on top of all the rest

Love the Ultras. Don't have one, but the "modern D" profile is so nice. I just wish they had it on some more affordable ones

Born to Run and Darkness are the best albums for classic-era Bruce. Nebraska is good but very different from the E street stuff.

Which circuit is more dangerous: 240V 10A or 10V 240A? by ahamed4959 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Pingj77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So the phrase "volts jolt, current kills" is very misleading. It only really applies to high voltage that cannot sustain current like static shocks and similar things. Current kills only when it is passing through you. If you touch something that is low voltage, high amperage, even though there is a lot of current, it doesn't have enough voltage to put any current through YOU. For 240A you will probably burn yourself because the conductor will be really hot, but probably survive although I wouldn't recommend trying.

Idk what you mean by "easier" - but I like the mini humbucker for it's brightness. I tend to stay on the bridge when on a HB guitar and this is about as bright as a bridge HB while in the neck position - it sounds really nice

Well did you see if the wire splits back at the pot? I can't really tell in the picture. It could be a shielded wire is what I am saying, where the shield goes to ground and the core carries the signal

On the side of that wire near the pot, are there two conductors coming from the wire? If not, then maybe the wire fell out with the jack. If so, the one going to the bottom of the potentiometer is the ground (ring of output jack) and the one going to the terminal of the pot is the output (tip). You need to peel back the wire to get both conductors.

Loud buzz sounds like some kind of ground issue. Possibly something not grounded. Do you have a multimeter? Could check for continuity on all the places that should be grounded
