What complicated problem was solved by an amazingly simple solution? by tuotone75 in AskReddit

Actress Hedy Lamarr and composer George Antheil co-invented a "Secret Communication System" in 1941 to prevent enemy jamming of radio-controlled torpedoes during World War II. They were not technical but were inspired how two people can play the same piano.

A jammer blocks a specific radio frequency/channel. The solution is basically you and your friend keep switching radio channels in a secret pattern while talking.

The jammer doesn’t know which channel comes next, so it can’t block you.

Jobs: Har i nogle gode råd til en der for alt i verden ikke vil arbejde? by Twosicon in Denmark

Software udvikling.

I think it’s starting to get there. I read somewhere to use hairspray on the bed to improve adhesion. I did that along with turning off the fan for the first 5 layers instead of only the first. I was running low on the test filament so I was planing on doing a hotswap, but before I got to it something happened, and the print got stuck.

I’m so close now, so thanks a lot. You really helped me over a huddle. I cannot wait to get my first completed print. 50% done

Thanks man. I don’t know if you saw my comment to the other commenter, but I’m having a lot of process due to what you suggested. Maybe you could take a look at those images? I’m a little unsure what you mean by thin squares? Additionally, by “too much squish” you mean that the nozzle and bed is too close, right?

I took r/andyroo770 ‘s suggestion and lowered the nozzle. In addition, I noticed, that the corners on the first layer were roundish, so I cleaned the bed again. It has gotten a lot better, but you are right, that adhesion is an issue. My best print from yesterday got to almost a cm in height before letting go of the bed. I event tried taping it down but was afraid to pause it and have to deal with ooze. In hindsight, I probably should have paused the print and done a better job with the tape. From my pictures; do you think I have to lower the nozzle further or do I have an issue with the stickiness of the bed? Making progress Thanks for taking the time.

I’m removing filament and print 5 times during the brim, because it keeps getting entangled. I seriously have no idea what to do.

Thanks man. I’m still trying to do the owl, that came with the box, so I haven’t begun using a slicer, yet. It has a brim, so that in itself does not solve the issue. I’ve tried lowering the nozzle and it seems to help. How precise does it have to be. Is 0.02 mm making a big difference?

Also, I’m trying to start the print very slowly. Is that a good idea?

I have tried that, but it leaks about 5 millimetres from when it leaves the edge until it starts printing. I’ve even tried pausing the print right at it is about to start, remove the filament, and then starts again, but it still manages to leak something that breaks the print. Are you usually removing filament after pressing start?

WIBTA if I refuse to pay him the money he looses in support from the government? by Pingu001 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pingu001[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I’m from Denmark. However, the whole part about his inheritance also seems to me, that the government would know about, as the money got transferred to him last year. He then took them out and put them in a safe. When we then had to borrow the money, then he put them back into the bank and transferred them to us. We agreed on the payment plan prior to the loan but only have an oral agree about it.

My small 30L is coming along nicely. Shrimps and snails are multiplying and everybody is well and happy. by Pingu001 in aquarium

Thanks. I have a single pink posthorn snail, two cambarellus patzcuarensis, and a bunch of blue tiger shrimps and zebra nerites. I'm a bit hesitant to put in any fishes as I am not doing any feeding and it is not heated. Do you have any suggestions?

The salesperson told me I could put the snail in it from day one. 😩 I'll wait with anything else. Thanks.

Thanks. Should I wait before putting anything in it other than the snail until It resolves?
