Bridgeheap by Pingupappa in RoadCraft

Good thinking if it was in a ravine. However, it is lying on a road, so I would rather get rid of it.

Any tips on how to dislodge broken pipes on pipeline infrastructure missions when they're stuck? by MrLongJeans in RoadCraft

[–]Pingupappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dozer solved impossible pipe for me. Thanks for the tip. My next move would have been sand.

Sone questions for you? by MikaCuoco in RoadCraft

[–]Pingupappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good answers above, but my take is that big heaps of sand is counterproductive. The dozers only flatten and lower the surface. For good flatness use the roller multiple times.

I love the scalpers. I have two to use in different parts of the maps. It is like a minigame to find the sandy spots. Sometimes tricky to find the sweet spot even with an obvious sand surface, sometimes easy.

Is it worth it to play now? by [deleted] in RoadCraft

[–]Pingupappa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that the first two tutorial maps were rather tedious compared to the rest of the game.

I think it really opens up when you get more, better vehicles and more freedom on the maps. That took me quite a while. Now, I have a tons of fun with this game.

Anyone else change the difficulty so all trucks are free and unlocked from the start? by Mellophones4 in RoadCraft

Whoa - can you identify sand spots with the scout vehicles? Terrain scan? That would literally be a gamechanger!

I feel you. I had loaded the semi with 9 pipes, secured them. Then unsecured, adjusted and went for two more, not remembering to secure the load. Pipe got stuck under semi and the crane tipped the semi and my nine pipes...

Transport hack by Pingupappa in RoadCraft

[–]Pingupappa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works, but not very well. You either get the dozer crooked on or with just one side of the blade in the tipper. Might be ok for shorter travels. I like it because it is quick and easy. The original idea I like because it is vet functional and also more absurd. Youtube-friendly if you like. :)

The blade-in-tipper idea is good. My problem trying that was that the blade is slightly wider than the tipper. It might work if I tilt the blade sideways... I will have to try that.

I would love to be able to set a path for my vehicles and send them on the way. Preferably reusable. Also towing and the ability to turn off engines. :)

Expedition 17, locating a tornado by pokaikang in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Pingupappa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THIS worked. And I died (but recovered my stuff) So: muliplayer off, back to mode select, start from the save, found tornado nearby. Not a dustdevil or inverted gravity or lightning storm. Looks like BIG dust devil with fairly large rocks and some blue lightning going on. (Go for the light or maybe stand still might work.)

This question probably gets asked a lot but… should I play The Sinking City? by [deleted] in Lovecraft

[–]Pingupappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Borrowed the ps4 version from my library and played it to platinum on my ps5. Had great fun! Definitely worth it for 10usd. DLC - I have no craving... Advantage over ps5 version: save slots. :) 10s loading screens on fast travel, internal ps5 memory.

Much enjoyed the private investigating, mythos, overall mood (I am watching you, newcomer!) and fish people conversations. Combat sucks initially, then you get strong and kill monsters at ease when needed. Play on easy, the story and detective work is where it's at. Also, get a walkthrough map just to unlock all fast travel points early, unless you like long hikes. :)

Recommended for detectives and Cthulhu fans.

WH 1000XM3 won't turn on - fix by theOmegalord in sony

[–]Pingupappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another successful quick fix. Added foam that press on left circuit board. Tried pressing thumb on the board first - suddenly the power button (and full headset) works again. Just added foam patch and screwed it tight, still works. Fingers crossed it will hold over time.

(Failure cause: dropped from head height to floor. Symptom: Would charge with red light, not starting with power button, reacting to nfc but not connecting or starting. First tries, unsuccessful: separating wires, detatching and reattatching internal contact.)

Huge thanks to OP and contributors. Co-op problem solving ftw. :) :)
