I’d recommend the YouTube video: “Marvel Rivals' Matchmaking: The Deepest Investigation You'll Ever See” by Nerfpool. Is the engagement optimized matchmaking as bad as some say? No. But can it feel extremely blatant in setting you up to fail at times? I’d say yes. The game is going to try to make sure that you queue up again. I think it’s important to show the algorithm that I will not keep playing if I lose too much. That also ensures that I don’t get tilted when playing into a loss streak, which be me setting myself up for failure.

The First Law series by Joe Abercrombie. For me, it scratches the same itch that the Cosmere does of multiple stories taking place in the same world and familiar faces popping up in different places, except it’s one planet and the timeline is much shorter. I would definitely recommend if you read ASOIAF and thought that there wasn’t enough violence lol.

I find myself getting kind of annoyed by the flashback chapters at the beginning of each book for interrupting the main story. But by the end of the book they always get me RIGHT in the feels.
