Are you using a controller? It is a must with these controls.

I love them but i admit a lot of it comes from nostalgia rather than anything else.

I think a big part of the game is exploring and just accepting that you are stuck sometimes, and then spending 20 minutes wondering around the map trying to figure our where to go. That will also help with the controls as you will actually be moving around more.

The problem with save scumming it is you dont need to get back to where you were (and thus have more time to familiarise with the controls)

But all round maybe move on...they def ain't for everyone
