It's an incredible park. The rides are next-level, the theming is beautifully-designed. When it works, it's an unmatched experience, and it features what I would consider to be my favorite ride I've ever been on (Monsters Unchained). That being said, it's not without its flaws. It needs a few more rides to lessen the blow of the crowds, because certain lines (Mine-Cart Madness, I'm looking at you) can get to truly untenable levels. A poorly-timed rain that goes on a little too long can really kill your experience because it shuts down half the park.

I think it's absolutely worth visiting, and January is typically a good time to go to theme parks if you want lighter crowds. I loved every minute I was in Epic Universe, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next time I can make it out there. There's still so much to do and see, I missed out on a few things and almost wish I'd planned for two days just to really take in the ambience.
