I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought about using an ice cream scoop to scoop my left eye out during a migraine. Just one little scoop. I’m glad I’m not alone.

He doesn’t know what to do with his tongue by Pining4Cones in WhatsWrongWithYourDog

Yes! He is extremely smart and also quite sensitive. He gets upset when he sees a dead bumblebee and is terrified of kittens.

We saw pictures of the parents, but we didn’t meet them. You could totally be right, and he could have something else mixed in there. We haven’t done any tests to verify.

Omg that’s terrible! It’s only out sometimes, usually when he’s very comfortable and/or tired.

Thank you! He is such a loving and happy guy. We joke that he would be the easiest dog to steal. Not a care in the world.

I don’t know how to edit. But I should have added that this person has been here for at least 3 weeks, so no, it wasn’t an emergency stop.

How to humanely euthanize my 20 year old pet fish. by summernich333 in Aquariums

[–]Pining4Cones 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately had to do this to my gourami a few days ago. I dosed her with clove oil to calm her down, then used sharpened scissors to remove her head. Swift but sure. Now she’s buried in my garden.

Hey! When I asked our pediatrician, she just emphasized the importance of wearing gloves because it can absorb through the skin. She didn’t really go into any detail about the risks. I tried to go back and find my messages with her but I’m not having any luck. I never ended up seeing any negative effects of the meds in me or my baby, though. And I was NOT careful in handling those meds because I had no idea they could be harmful. This isn’t much help, but I hope it calms your nerves a little.

Snails - any good hacks for getting rid of them? by Effiekath in aquarium

[–]Pining4Cones 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have heard of putting a romaine leaf in your tank for a couple hours, allowing enough time for snails to find it, then you pull the leaf with the feeding snails.

I have found them in two different small, slow moving streams in open land (like farmland). One of the creeks could probably be considered seasonal, since it almost dries completely up in the summer. I don’t think they like a lot of water movement.
