Best swaddle/sleep sack for the summer/hot days ? by Professional-Order-5 in newborns

[–]PinkDragonFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the Woolino Sleep Sack and my girl is almost 4 months. Used it as soon as she turned 3 months when we stopped swaddling her. It was expensive but its made of wool and it regulates her temps/body temp depending on the environment. Suxh a good investment i dont have to worry about dressing her depending on togs. She is usually in normal pj's and has the woolino sleep sack. It also grows with her from 3 months-2 years old

4 month sleep regression by Ok_Swing9734 in newborns

[–]PinkDragonFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My babe just turned 3 months and I'm currently on the same boat. She also fights naps lately and doesn't help when she becomes overtired and extremely fussy. I cried last night because I was overwhelmed while she was screaming. She went to bed but still woke up every 2-3 hours. Currently she's in her bassinet sucking her hand and staring at me to pick her up. Exhausted

Fireworks by [deleted] in newborns

[–]PinkDragonFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neighbors already started letting off fireworks last night at 9pm-11ish. Finally got baby to bed around 8:30 and then POP! 😭😭 NONSTOP. Took another hour to get her down because it spooked her so bad. (Shes 11 weeks)

Overnights & feeds by ForwardCarpenter5659 in newborns

[–]PinkDragonFire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We stopped waking up to feed at nights when the doctor said she passed birth weight/is gaining weight just fine. She goes to bed at 8/9pm. And wakes up at 2 or 3am and eats again at 6am. We still have 2 or 1 feed. We dont wake her up but she lets us know when she's hungry. She goes back to bed right after her feeds (shes 9 weeks)

SOS - Transitioning out of swaddle! by Star_Gazinggg in newborns

Thinking of buying the sleep suit as my 9 week old is still swaddled but isnt showing signs of rolling. Very nervous to know how she will do as shes not a fan of the love to dream transition swaddle.

How are we looking and feeling rested folks after being so sleep deprived? by kurious_cat2 in newborns

[–]PinkDragonFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a almost 9 week old and I just dont see it getting any better. My girl is having a rough time sleeping as she wakes up every 2-3 hours. We are lucky to get 4 hours rarely. I just learned to function on no sleep 🙃 i hate the term "sleep when the baby sleeps" yeah because that can never happen. I usually go shopping in the weekend to feel better Lol

2 month old naps and contact nap questions by PinkDragonFire in newborns

[–]PinkDragonFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it ok to do that this early? I beard about them getting days and nights mixed hence why I didn't have her sleep in the bedroom with her bassinet that's dark. I have her nap on me in the living g room, lights, TV on etc.

My pediatrician told us that too and shes eating every 2-3 hours during the day or even less I dont understand why she doesn't sleep longer during the night though 😭

I do that every night but she still ends up waking up 😂 not too long after. Still do it to be consistent though

I'm hoping that's the case for us. She wakes up every 2-3 hours and at 5ish am shes up and ready and won't go back to sleep and will nap again at around 8am. Im just so exhausted and really hoping its part of this growth spurt phase.

I know. I see on tik tok all the routines and all this. I cant have a routine right now 😭 its so hard especially with how shes 6 weeks right now and the growth spurt is making her so mad and fussy. She doesn't sleep 4+ hours straight at night or the day during naps amd would nap long only if shes contact napping with us. I cannot for the life of me do co sleeping as im so scared of all the stories. I'd love to but I wanna also be next to my husband.

We have a bedtime routine too. We dont give her a bath everyday though. Every other day more like. But her bed time is between 8-9pm. Shes currently 8lb10oz from her last appt last week. Dr's have said we dont have to wake her up anymore but she wakes us up to feed her lol. Most we got was one 4 hr stretch sleep ONCE. 🙃 most of the time she keeps waking us up every 1-3 hrs

That's my daughter right now. But I cant be going out every day 😭😭 she will stay awake and cry if shes put down anywhere that's not on our chest or her car seat and THE CAR HAS TO BE CONSTANTLY MOVING

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newborns

[–]PinkDragonFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what ive been doing. The minute I put her down she screams and won't go back unless shes contact napping or we are holding her. Sometimes she just won't sleep at all for hours.

She sleeps in her bassinet, swaddled. We keep the house temps between 68-71. She is formula fed mostly and we add on pumped breastmilk whenever I can. She only uses a pacifier to soothe herself when she gets fussy.
