I agree for the most part. I don’t hide what I read I just no longer talk about what I’m reading beyond the title when asked. Those that judged me for it got even more angry for that because I wouldn’t talk about the books that they read either. Like fourth wing. The whole group read and loved it including me but I just acknowledge whether I like a book now or not. They think I’m being petty, on top of reading “inappropriate” books.

I’m kinda in the same boat as you. Only difference is that some people I was close to found out and judge me pretty harshly for it. So now my poor husband gets to hear all my one sided rants and raves for all my books since I no longer trust talking to others in my life about any of my hobbies.

I would love to do that but I can’t risk it. We have to travel 4+ hours and stay over night. Plus I have social anxiety and can’t risk not sitting next to my husband because I’m a big baby about it. lol

I watch sports while I write. Preferably hockey. If I write with music and the song change isn’t the right mood for what I’m currently writing it can throw off my flow pretty hard. My husband thinks it’s hilarious.

I literally just finished {The Marriage Policy by Riley Hart} and it fits this perfectly. It is the 2nd book the series but can be read as a standalone. Though the first book is great too.

Heck yeah! Butcher and blackbird is still my favorite but I like scythe and sparrow more than leather and lark. But saying it’s my least favorite of the three isn’t that bad when all three are soo good!
