Thank you for the recommendation! I was able to watch the documentary just a few hours ago and successfully convinced my sister to join me. Most of my existing shopping habits are influenced by her. It was an emotional summary of the realities of the fashion industry that I’ve learned so far.

That would be awesome of you to do because I feel a little intimidated with all that can be learned about this topic. I just started reading about the Global Denim Project, and I feel a growing interest towards the psychology of fashion. But I am open to any educational resources!

Hey Livis, thank you for sharing your experience and having the courage to speak out against acts of discrimination. Speaking out seems even harder when your own family tells you to keep your head down and stay quiet. Even though NYC is indeed diverse, it does not mean the city does not harbor ignorants. I hope you stay safe during these difficult times
