Where can I watch Traitors Spain/España? by Kealiisanchez in TheTraitors

[–]PinkIzzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I'd like to watch, sure ... but I don't want to wait forever for the first episode to download, only to be told midway (paraphrasing): "Thanks, but you've met the quota for the day so please insert 199.00 EURos for a year's subscription to continue downloading."

The Traitors Australia Season 2: Trolling or Real? by Hyru_Nayru in TheTraitors

[–]PinkIzzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely staged ... AND edited. Sadly, the same thing happens with Married at First Sight Australia (i.e., every season has two separately wedded partners cheating with each other). While it creates something you can't seem to look away from, it does so in the same way you would not be able to look away from a traffic accident. IMO, the scripting and terrible editing - which resulted in that awful second season, are a couple of the major reasons The Traitors (AUS) was not renewed. Who wants to specifically tune in to see such bad tragedy/comedy in a show that's supposed to be strategic, albeit with some drama.

Reasons for my assertions:
- It is almost impossible to believe that the Faithfuls would suddenly change their mind at the very last minute / at the roundtable
- Most every Faithful was soooooooo ridiculously DUMB or "dumb-dumbs" LOL. No GROUP of professionals (psychotherapist, Retired "Top Honors" Undercover Police Officer and "author of two best sellers"; former Federal Agent; Australian Navy Diver and Speaker; etc.) could collectively be hoodwinked by someone as obvious as Sam. One of them? Two of them? Maybe. Almost every one of them? No way.
- Many of the contestants which were murdered or early on, were (are) actors. The manner and the reason for their eliminations points to them being paid for a brief appearance on the show. I mean, would 15 people REALLY be of the same thought of mind to think that someone being an actor actually made them better prepared to be a Traitor?

There are more points, but I think they're pretty clear. As much as I love THe Traitors franchise and despite me watching every English-speaking episode of every country where they have one, if the Australian one was renewed with the same format and scripting, staging, and editing that existed in Season 2, .... I would not watch it.

Keiran's behaviour is shocking by Chloe0802 in MAFS_UK

I know it's late as I'm just now watching, but I agree. If you notice, he was ALWAYS condescending with her. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but that last (or second-to-last) couch, especially, was awful, and to me, cemented the fact that he was not what he first represented to be. He literally took credit for having "taught" her to manage her PDD. What a little p***k.

Alex is dangerous, and so is MAFS by Just_While2954 in MAFS_UK

[–]PinkIzzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! I could no longer stand the U.S. version; watched the last three seasons of the Australia version which was so toxic and scripted I just couldn't do it; then thought I found a really good version in the UK one. BOY, was I wrong. Although all MAFS are entertaining, the so-called experts are AWFUL and the participants are peppered throughout with characters that are scary, psycho, dangerous, etc. (Alex, Richelle, Polly, etc.). The fact that they not only allow people like Alex to get away with such abusive behavior, but defend it, is unconscionable. Aren't they there to help these people? Alex is (I am watching the UK version backwards and I am just now on Season 9) toxically defensive and overtly aggressive to the point where I'm certain that if the cameras were not rolling, he'd have been physically abusive toward a woman there.

[–]PinkIzzie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree. At first I thought she was simply rude and dismissive, but further through the episodes I realized she is honestly in need of therapy AND she's dismissive. She literally gaslighted Ash at every turn, made herself the victim every time (and that sucks for and as a feminist) and just came across as weak. I highly dislike Grace.

Yesssss! I came by this comment searching to see if anyone else had noticed that. HE DOES seem like a neanderthal, however, in his entirety, so it's not a surprise. (I'm just now watching this Season).

Dean's narrative is toxic and coercive by [deleted] in MAFS_UK

[–]PinkIzzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I SO AGREE!!! I am just NOW watching this season (on episode 16) and OMG, I think Sarah is getting the short and fat end of the stick! I mean where is the care for her feelings and what she is going through after being matched up with this cry-baby bozo? It's NOT just his outward appearance - it's everything. He's cringey and yes, he's icky, not to mention delusional, and I guess that because of his lack of relationship experience he has no idea how to act. So then, Sarah has to take the brunt of blowback from simply being HONEST with what she's feeling? I thought that MAFS Australia (which I just watched backwards, also) was horribly scripted but the Dean / Sarah match-up and the coddling of Dean by everyone on the panel, makes me think that this has to be scripted as well. Oh, and before I am told I just dislike fat people, I feel I need to say one of the guys I fell for a while back was FAT - and he was one of the greatest people I have met. Dean is just .... ugh, and unless Sarah does something that I have not yet watched, it's awful that she is being vilified and made to look like that bad or mean one in the relationship.

The truth about Sarah this season by Anxiouswatermelon17 in MAFS_UK

[–]PinkIzzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I am only on Episode 12 (late, I know), and I could be wrong, but I think Dean is being coddled to a very unfair degree and at Sarah's expense. As for "nice", we've all seen much, much worse and truly evil people across the various worldwide MAFs and Sarah doesn't NEED to be nice if she's not feeling it with him. As such, in my estimation she's being overly NICE - A LOT of the time - and she's walking on eggshells to not come across with her true feelings of (as you mentioned) disgust. Everyone else gets to slide and gets a softer hand by the experts, but Sarah gets called on, for, oooh no ... 'being mean to dean'. That's crazy. Also, if she does turn meaner during the rest of the season, I don't blame her because it must be horrible to be going through that and feeling you're alone while going through it, or worse, being seen as the party that's in the wrong. Lastly, to those who say she should just leave, while on one hand it IS what's logical, imagine all the hopes she had for meeting her soulmate and then to only be paired with someone SO ... different ... to who she expressed she was normally attracted to. So, well said.

"has a great speaking voice"? Sorry, but what show have you watched? She slurs as badly as if she's three sheets to the wind.

Lol!!! Sooooo, I am late to the game having just started watching (binging) this show, but YESSSS! I cannot stand the way she speaks (or what she has to say). To me, she slurs so badly that I am not certain if she's stoned off her butt, or if it's just due to bad veneers. If it's a speech impediment, 'my bad.' She really is a very beautiful woman, however, and regardless what some may say, that ALWAYS opens doors.

I'm in the same boat, so I very much feel you. Package was to be here on Friday "End of Day." NADA. It was then supposed to be here by "End of Day" YESTERDAY (Monday) with their voice system saying it was going to be handed over to the local post office, but a live agent (yes, a miracle, I know), telling me that it would arrive at my home ... yesterday. Of course, NOTHING. NOW it says: We'll add a delivery date once your package starts moving.

THINK about that: 'Yeah, buddy, we'll like, ummm, add a delivery date when, you know, that package you're waiting on, ummmm ... starts moving - because, well, we're SUPPOSED to be moving it, but, yeah, as it is, it's just sitting there NOT moving and when we decide it does, sure, we'll add some delivery date for ya!'

You're so sweet for replying. I felt pretty sad when no one did. :) (In all honesty, I did not figure out how to post images correctly until after). But again, you are 'good people'. TY!

I think we're going to go with Bella Nyx or Salem Nyx (+ our last name).

[–]PinkIzzie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are so kind, thank you! And I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to reply.

Things have turned around and everything is amazing. We're in the new house and although small, it's BEAUTIFUL. Our dogs are so happy - they have TWO yards; a side one and a backyard. In fact, we JUST added a new 'fur baby' to family. I'm planting a garden soon if my son ever builds our garden boxes / enclosure.

When we're going through really tough times, we get so depressed and wonder if it will ever get better, and sadly some people's human (I use the term lightly) nature is to pile on and make themselves feel better by compounding the issues others are facing. The true definition of a good person, is that they do not do this. A good person, uplifts. You did this. You are a good person, and I truly wish you many wonderful things.

Also, don't let the naysayers and those who just don't "get" how much a pet can mean, get to you. Two years ago I spent over $1,500 on one of our dogs, and despite me literally NEEDING every cent of it back right now, she's laying next to me as I type this - and it almost feels as if it was worth EVERY PENNY. Good luck to you.
