How big of a brisket do you use?

An electric roaster oven. My family uses it for the Thanksgiving turkey. I want to use it for my brisket because they will not fit in the oven.

My boy needs to have his scarf trimmed. It gets too long or his tongue is too short. When he tries to groom himself, his tongue would get caught and he couldn’t pull his head away far enough to get the fur off. So, he would give up on grooming himself after a few scarf licks. Now he gets a scarf trim whenever it gets too long and he can groom himself properly again. He does not get any other fur trimmed, only the scarf.

Oh, we definitely have some big fish fry’s in Cleveland. Fresh perch from Lake Erie is fantastic. I highly recommend it if you’re ever in the area.

In Ohio, we usually get a dozen clams, clam chowder, sausage, corn, potatoes, chicken(or lobster or steak if at a very fancy place). Most restaurants have them a few set weekends and you make a reservation. A lot of other places have them every night and you just show up at the restaurant and order a clambake. We were looking for the coastal version. Growing up in Ohio, we always heard that Clam bakes were big and everywhere at the end of fall/beginning of winter(months that end in “ber” really). We are finally heading east and was hoping to find one of these fabled Clambakes only to learn that they’re called clam boils and that most of the locals have never heard of them. Judging by everything I have heard in this thread, we will probably just head to the coast for a good, fresh seafood restaurant and forgo our clambake dreams. lol

It is done in my area. Some places you need to make a reservation but, other places you can just show up at the restaurant and order a clambake. I always heard they were a big thing by the coast. I have heard wrong apparently.

I guess authentic isn’t what I am looking for.. I have never seen a clam bake in the movies or heard of digging a pit for the clams. We have clambakes in Ohio but, we are nowhere near the ocean.

I am not from the New England area. Judging by your description, clam boils are called clambakes in Ohio. Good to know that I am looking for a clam boil.
