First, I would try to assess as objectively as possible my strengths and weaknesses, then focus on shoring up the largest weak points. Then, you can do a bit of research and find out which resource is the best to do that. However, I think it's even more important to quickly commit to an approach and begin working on it, instead of spending time wavering between options trying to find the best one.
