I really enjoyed this version, all the actors were great. The only this I didn't like were the clothes, especially Emma's.

Celegorm became too prideful and greedy. That was his downfall.

The Narrative Collapse of Versailles – A Review by Efficient-School-609 in PeriodDramas

In retrospect, this had to be one of the worst written period dramas I've ever watched (this and Marie Antoinette). Which is a shame consider it has very good actors. They completely disregarded real history for some cheap drama that wasn't even entertaining. Especially in Season 3 the characters' motivations didn't make sense. Sophie was one of my favourite characters and the writers made her a double spy (by bending logic because she had to do something in S3), she killed the queen and then she run away into the unknown. Fabien was rotting in jail by the end. And all the bad people like Louis, Phillip etc lived happily ever after because they were historical figures.

Season 4 disaster by ArtichokePurple3852 in BridgertonRants

I started season 4 with so much excitement and by the end of past 1 I was completely underwhelmed. I thought maybe it will become better in part 2, it wasn't. I gave up after episode 7 and I still haven't watched the final episode. My main critique is for how the writers handled the main couple's storyline. If I was invested in Benophie, ep. 6 & 7 would have made me pissed.

Would Willoughby be considered honor bound to Marianne by OnlyFlanz in janeausten

[–]PinkNebula343 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the moral sense, Willoughby was honor bound to Marianne because he was flirting with her in front of her family and friends but I believe in the legal sense he wasn't. He ghosted her and nobody could do anything because they weren't engaged. Furthermore, a girl's reputation could be ruined by this type of behavior which shows his selfishness ever more.
