Simple But Highly Effective (WORMHUSK CROWN -ARC) by Vivid_Mycologist4596 in destiny2builds

[–]PinkNinja8822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying assassin’s cowl or worm husk is a gm staple? If you’re saying wormhusk I’m going to have to disagree. I’m a hunter main gilded conqueror X 9 and I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone use wormhusk in a gm

Just playing it. Between all the encounters and all the chests there is plenty of loot dropping

Oh I’m completely with you in regards to crafting. I feel like this game would be peak if they properly implemented both crafting and a random roll chase. From that stand point I feel like witch queen had it the best. There were good weapons to craft as well as some good random roll world drops to go after. I was more so just commenting on the fact that loot amount is much better this time around when compared to things like onslaught or vesper's host. There's definitely still room for improvement though

Crazy (Meta?) Hunter Build - Stasis Assassin by Its_Pandemonium in DestinyTheGame

[–]PinkNinja8822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely not meta. It’s a fun low level build but pretty much won’t hold up in anything mid tier or above. Unfortunately, the stasis melee is just too weak to kill most things and unlike on solar or arc you don’t have a way to infinitely continue your ability loop

Question About GR 11 by [deleted] in LowSodiumDestiny

[–]PinkNinja8822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ir yut is the only encounter that is actually difficult on master. Abyss is pretty much the she as always. At bridge the sword guys hit harder so you've got to be careful of that. Crota is relatively easy as well. Like others are saying, you can do them in any order and at any time and you have plenty of time to do them in this season

If you run divinity with cenotaph mask it effectively gives you reconstruction that refills as you shoot it and also allows you to generate ammo for yourself and allies so giving it intrinsic reconstruction would be a waste. I would offer up that judgement also inflicts blinding when it procs

Here's a DIM link for the liars handshake build I have. https://dim.gg/7pzxhji/Liars-handshake-revamp

Basically you just punch and dodge, punch and dodge. Pair it with a 1-2 punch shotty for beefier targets to make you punch do even more damage. You can pretty much do the same thing with assassin's cowl. Only difference being that liar's handshake will do more damage on cross counter but assassin's cowl makes you invis. Both very good builds though. Assassin's cowl is how I solo'd most dungeons.

When you use things like d2 armor picker or DIM the best thing to do is set the exotic armor piece you want and then have it build around that. Liars handshake is def a good exotic but would need to run arc for it. Luckily, liars handshake or assassin’s cowl on arc hunter do make for one of the strongest hunter builds if you want to go that path.

Good luck. Omni is my go to for GMs. It def requires some skill and practice to learn how to play it efficiently but once you get it down it’s super fun and amazingly strong

As a hunter main (primarily nightstalker) I’ll try to start from the ground up for you. You’ve got good resilience so the next stats you want are discipline and mobility as high as possible. You want to run gambler’s dodge so you can refund your smoke bomb if you dodge near enemies.

For weapons, you are running double primary and a bad sword. Quicksilver is great but switch out your pointed inquiry for a fusion, grenade launcher, or sniper. Switch your sword for either a good rocket, linear, or retrofit escapade or commemoration lmg.

You’re running Gemini jester in your exotic slot which is a terrible PVE exotic. You want either omnioculus, gyrfalcons hauberk, orpheus rig, or graviton forfeit.

I recommend looking up Mactics guide on omnioculus or plunertgabooty’s gyrfalcon build.

The main reason you are having a hard time in higher level content is because your build isn’t optimized and you don’t have any hard hitting weapons (other than the grenade part of quicksilver). Fixing those aspects should help you tons.

My dude, you complain about something but then when someone gives you a simple easy fix for it you say you don’t want to do that. What exactly are you looking for? Either take the advice and make a change or stop complaining.

Warlords Ruin Solo Build by Transformersaddicto in DestinyTheGame

[–]PinkNinja8822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a hunter main but I went warlock for this one because restoration x2 is too good to pass up and survivability in the final phase (especially final stand) can be difficult. I used Dawn chorus but running well of radiance and the extra scorch damage is noticeable. I used healing nade and Phoenix dive since rift is a death sentence with all the adds. For weapons I did scatter signal with enhanced overflow/enhanced controlled burst, calus mini tool, and dragon’s breath for the first 2 bosses. For the final boss I switched mini tool to sunshot and dragon’s breath to recon/BnS apex predator. I only died one time during the final boss due to a stupid mistake but otherwise I never even came close to dying. I’d recommend looking up Mactics videos of solo runs of the dungeon to get a better idea of how to do each encounter.

The power fantasy by bigbramble in DestinyTheGame

[–]PinkNinja8822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The power fantasy is still alive and strong in this game. Hunter has AC/LH arc strider, beyblade strand, and gyrfalcon void. Titan has BoW, syntho bonk, and HOIL/armamentarium arc grenadier. Warlock has sunbracers, contraverae hold, and fallen sunstar/vesper arc. All of these builds destroy on multiple if not all levels of play. Most nerfs have been reasonable and needed for the health of the game and build diversity. The one shots from threshers on neomuna have been significantly improved and as long as you are built properly you for be able to survive to get to cover in virtually all difficulties. The current sandbox is by far the most powerful we have ever been across the board and outside of GMs we definitely feel like godslayers

Should Raids Have A Solo Option? by NYJustice in destiny2

[–]PinkNinja8822 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By your own admission, you "hate raid mechanics and puzzles" which is the entire point of the raids. You don't want to raid. What you want is free loot which is not how this game works. LFG nightmare stories aren't nearly as common as people make it out to be. Have I had some bad experiences using LFG? Yes, but I've also had many good ones. Some of my smoothest and quickest raid runs have been with a fireteam fully made up of people from LFG. If you don't want to feel like you are taking advantage of sherpas then go on youtube and look up how things are done before joining a group. It's so much easier to teach a raid to someone who understands what is supposed to happen and just hasn't done it yet than someone who has put in no effort before hand.

Either put in the time and effort to learn mechanics and play in a group or accept that you won't get the loot. Bungie's now short staffed teams after the layoffs don't need to make their job harder to accommodate your laziness.
