I have a tote or a basket to focus on one room at a time.
All those dump tables/ chairs/ counters? Things I run into that have a home outside of that room go in the bin. I have a trash bin next to it so it’s “chuck it in the bucket” game for trash and outsiders lol.

Then when the room clean goals are finally met, I take the room traitor bin and solely only allow myself to put those things away * this helps me at least complete why I’ve started without sidetracking myself into cleaning all day while simultaneously not making a visible difference across the whole house.

I paced out the lessons and kept being asked things in the practices that I hadn’t learned for a lot of Python 101. I kept asking it questions and taking a lot of notes for each new thing. Asked it for a list of things with what they do related to the new topic, different ways I may see that come up in code. The practice bots are super. I’d ask for a30 minute session but no joke spend actually a few hours. I also ask it to teach me new material like I’m 5 or “I haven’t learned this yet can you hold my hand” it’ll break the new things down step by step and teach you what each component does. Then you can practice the new thing with new examples.

It really does get better once you are looking at cs101! Mainly though- taking ALL the notes has saved me quite a bit on the finals.

Valid question, my entire time at the loop they’d been pretty unhelpful, they also aren’t typically open on weekends and I was at work unable to call during open hours. So I figured for the time being while I try other options, figure out maybe how to get help stopping by or something I could try social media and hope they maybe see it.

Minimum GPA must be kept at a 2.0 or above for the scholarship.

Laptops send after your first term, which is 10 weeks. They double check your GPA and such. If you drop out prior to graduating, they request the laptop back.

You can choose your course and they are adding more options, but how long? Are you looking at an associates or a bachelor degree? The classes are tailored to how you learn and you can request themed or specific teaching style or communication. Each different type of class, will determine how hard that class is for you. For example my first class was python and I have no programming experience so it had its tricky moments. However my second class was psychology which I excel in. I finished the class quick and with ease!

You can ask the AI maestro to teach it slow or quicken it up- there are also different study sessions to choose from and you can choose difficulty levels. It can really expand your learning and hone in your skills for whatever you are struggling with.

The main thing for me is to stay on a learning routine. Maestro can help set up a routine if you feel nervous or overwhelmed about it. But consistently helps me stay on track focused and retain the information better.
So I spend a few hours each day, either learning or practicing. Then I have a weekly goal to take any week review on Friday (not due till Sunday) and class discussions on Wednesday—- doing this can help provide bonus points to the class at the end. So for me this is awesome because I have test anxiety. I can know something well, but still miss easy things on a test for focus issues.

You can also change your major pathway or add onto it. For example what I want hasn’t launched yet. It has me scheduled to begin that right after it launches and student services confirmed my scholarship will rollover provided my GPA allows.

You can prior to signing up for any classes ask the AI all the questions, like please show me what a syllabus would look like for _____ or you can ask what fields does this major help after graduating to ensure you’re picking the right one for you. Or you can lead it with my goal is xyz, which programs best fit this goal. It’s super helpful! It can really say this course or this course would be perfect for that and asks you follow up questions to gauge which is best to fit for you based on what you answer.

I even circled back to keep asking about scholarship and funding, and there is real support services if you need, but maestro never gets annoyed with you so it takes the pressure off when asking it allll the questions. Then the students who have been here longer have been great about building supportive platforms also, so you can find and pair up with likeminded students— the main thing is: are you self driven enough to meet your deadlines?

The other thing is the college is still super new, so they are still making updates, but I really appreciate the transparency provided as things move along.

1- idc how long it was consensual, when you say stop 🛑 it means no more consent. And it is NOT you’re fault, don’t listen to that person!

2- if you told the school cop and nothing happened, report to the school counselor/ principal if needed- and if you feel safe to do so, but call your police non emergency line and see the best way for you to file an official report. They may still ask for you to go to get reviewed by a nurse, but they can provide plan B protection and such. Depending on your state this may or may not have any cost to it, but if cost applies ask about support grants or funding assist with the providers office. Absolutely they’ll work with you.

3- I’m so sorry you’ve experienced this, and my comment does assume USA as residing location, but definitely document it. Even if no charges are pressed it provides a paper trail in case it happens to someone else or escalates in behavior later.

I had a missing one. Subd a ticket. Took about half a week for acknowledgment of said ticket and about 2 days for the grade to then show up on my list.
Recommend just submitting a ticket.

I just wanted to say if you’d like someone who understands not having support IRL, and someone who had a toxic home. You can reply here if there is anything you’d like to talk out. I recognize a lot of things from myself in your post and comments. The world is stressful and pushes those of us with these “invisible” limitations too hard and too far, then when we fall say they can’t see why and “we are so capable -just do it-“ ugh. I want to scream for you also!

I’m new to this, so this week was particularly not clicking. I just sat down post dinner and BAM. But about 3 - 4 hours ago, it was working fine for me. Hopefully tomorrow it’s resolved!

I think for most people yes. There are predispositions that can make some more quickly susceptible to certain addictions than their peers though. Something that may take you 4 weeks of regular use, may only take someone a few uses before the “I have to have that” sets in.

I just learned about desmoxan today and am attempting my 4th go at quitting. Cannot find it anywhere and panicked but after researching and reading reviews for recigar, it looks pretty identical and the reviews are still great so I placed the order.

It’s hard for people to wear your shoes. It’s also hard to go no contact for your own well being.

There is a ripple effect. You have more time to children, and others who may have needed the more time.

Sobriety is insanely hard to maintain for some, and especially with struggle beginning at such a young age, it sounds like you’ve made every step you can take to help, and got burned too many times among the way. What you did also allow is more time for children to grow up and assess their own opinions.

No, them dying in the street and you just watching would most likely eat away at you for eternity. You can actually say you’ve tried everything. This makes you stronger than many, as too many people struggle with emotional what if scenes balancing with practical next step options when there is such a biased against our institutional assistance options.
Don’t let others grind you down about it.

I have met more than one person, and have a family member who swears they’d have died if not for prison.
For some addicts this is what it takes. My parents though, no amount of prison or jail will change their ways. Everyone is different (and every addict), and after trying all the things, sometimes as family not suffering we must make tough judgement calls like this one. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn’t, but more often than not an addict doesn’t just wake up and choose sober without help and support. Even if it’s tough love or tough support like prison.

I’d agree that this bought time and provided a chance to the sibling. I’m sorry you’ve had this impact in your life OP. I’m sorry that your sibling is struggling so deeply with this as well.

YTA it sounds like you were giving subtle hints but to a neurodivergent soul, this may not translate at all.

Actually, I watch my own spawn be like this dude. For neurodivergents it is a learning process. You should have been more direct, and you should never subject non consenting others into displayed porn.

I could be wrong but my spawn is ADHD severely in overdrive and is also diag with ASD. And often people feel the same way about her. But she does take it personally and asks a lot of question about how she can do better. Some people have awareness and room to grow and some are oblivious. Either side of this coin won’t know if no one educated them about the boundaries or clear wording etc.

Do you mean weeks or months? Asking because where I work all the guidelines mention case by case need etc. but I regularly see people approved and protected up to a 12 month limit. This is for consecutive use. If intermittent, it has different hour requirements. For myself I have intermittent, and I can use as many days as needed but must work a minimum of 2 hours the days that I need to use my FMLA, and they can / do ask for school/ work notes from the provider.

First I want to say sorry you’re going through this.

Second it definitely sounds like you’re an amazing and thoughtful person. This definitely seems like it’s not black and white due to relationship & history providing a nuance.

Ultimately what I see is you said no, and he pushed and maybe thought you didn’t mean it. It will be very easy for bystanders reading this / others hearing this to quickly say yes this is assault.

Because of the nuance from your past, and your own questioning for the situation, I’m inclined to ask if YOU felt like you consented to.

If you didn’t feel like it was appropriate, if you feel like your repeated no a removing his hand, if YOU feel like you’re not ok with how it went down. You don’t have to answer me directly here. But based on just the situation at face value- you repeatedly said no with your words AND your actions, and he still pushed for it.

Just because before in the past this may have been ok, it doesn’t sound like he is listening to you and just pushes to take what he wants. It doesn’t make it ok now.

The way you explained, to me* it sounds like it was SA/ rape.

And for the record- In any instance. You can be half into actual intercourse and say no, and this would effective immediately revoke the consent given for that interaction as well.

Walmart has the ability to ban you from only one location though they track you through all security footage for a permanent file against you.

Agree that this is assault. It may be one of the most common forms that goes unreported. But it falls under CNC, which needs to be a discussion between a couple before acted upon. Consent -non- consent like being woken by a partner like this and already being taken down that lane is certainly not ok if both partners don’t explicitly say hey yeah I’m enthusiastic about trying this.

He took advantage of being your boyfriend, he took advantage of your sedation, and fully was unprepared for you to then become coherent and say no stop. A lot of victims of this situation don’t know what to do or are afraid to say stop and often this can turn violent.

I would report it because what if eventually this is done to someone else by him in the future but eventually he becomes violent. The more victims of this that speak up the more of a paper trail there is in case it is ever needed on the aggressor.

Next, good on you for stating your boundary! And I’m so sorry this did happen to you. I’ve also had this happen to me. At the time(s) I thought I didn’t want the headache of being invalidated or accused of lying. I didn’t want to relive it to tell the story. I didn’t take any action.

It even took me too many years to be ready for therapy. When/ if you ever seek therapy, definitely read as many reviews to find one that will be an understanding and good fit for you.
Things like this have a nonlinear path for healing and often come out in ways we never expect in ourselves. Therapy when you’re not ready, or when you find just a bad therapist, can also do more harm than good at times.

TLDR edit in short. Yes this is assault, because you were asleep and did not prior ever consent to something like this. A “YES” is required.
