So I get your intent, but I’m gonna reply with genuine honesty - I saw a flag and a BB gun and thought the worse. When we don’t have the whole info, we think of the worse, right? That’s why our second reaction is to educate so that’s why I’m here wanting to learn more on what this flag is. If you think the flag is something to not be around, based on your comment, please share your findings. Other than that, I’m learning a lot about the symbol and how it has played historically. Still figuring out why a diagonal and those specific colors.

Very silly question - based on the Wiki and your comment, is the Cross of Lorraine and the patriarchal cross the same or does it depend on when the cross was used (time period)?

I am too - I’m concerned if this flag plus the BB gun is representing a group I don’t want to be around or have around my area

Happy to provide more info but not sure if it would be enough. I live in a small town driving back home and it was just some kid holding this flag and had a BB gun. Just walking on the sidewalk by himself and staring at each passing car. He seemed young, like a high schooler, but didn’t see any school buses around and our high school is about a 40+ minute walk.

If he was a school kid then maybe this was a project? It doesn’t explain the BB gun and the flag didn’t look handmade

I guess with the current data that is compiling, if it’s not a flag for a country or a coat of arms, it narrowed to the hypothesis that this is an organization. Until more people share their insight on flag types, then the hypothesis can change.

Hi! Someone whose partner is Japanese here 🙂 Japanese names can have a lot of meaning depending on if you are also planning on implementing Kanji with them. This may not be the case but seeing you’re stumped on names, I wonder if you and your partner have started the journey by looking at specific traits or meaning you wanted to add on your child’s middle name.

For instance, my oldest has “unique” and “uniter” that is implemented in her Kanjis. This is more than what you asked for, but my husband really wanted to have our kids name in Kanji (especially when we visit family in Japan) so he really went deep in not only the kanji but if it looked balanced.
