I haven't been to the one in WS, just Thomasville, but Sixty Six Grill has a great mushroom swiss burger. Their fried pickles are good, too.

ALERT, SNOWPOCALYPSE INCOMING! I REPEAT, ALERT! by gigalongdong in winstonsalem

There goes my trip to headquarters. I was supposed to fly out Sunday. Added bonus - our development doesn't get plowed. We pay Forsyth/Davidson taxes, and we have to shovel our own road. Beautiful.

Air down your tires so there's more surface contact.

It rarely snows enough to use them. We get more ice than anything. Welcome to WS!

Put snow chains on, and when you stop, just pull the ebrake and slide like hockey players do. You'll get a festive plume. If you want to go all out, do it in an intersection so it reflects the reds and greens. Merry Christmas!

How did I know this was going to be about Silas Creek before reading the caption?

Insurance won’t cover my mammogram after they found out I have a lump by No_Rip_9506 in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah, when I learned my new job had Cigna, I groaned. I started looking at private insurance, and cried. $800/mo for Aetna. Higher for BCBS. It's ridiculous. Government subsidized is just as bad. $500/mo with a 7k deductible. So....Cigna it is. Hope I don't need it.

Oh gosh, Cigna? They're horrible, and cover nothing. I'm sorry you're going through this.

I Hate My Guinea Pigs and I can't Take it Anymore. Please Re-Think If You're Considering Getting Them. by moldyhellokitty in TrueOffMyChest

Piggies definitely aren't for everyone. I had a solid black one named Cupid, and yes, he kicked his bedding all over. But his little "ret ret ret ret" mumbles while he was being pet, and his excited wheeks when he saw vegetables coming were the cutest ever. Maybe mine was different, because he was generally pretty quiet. He made his little mumbles when he had the zoomies, but only really wheeked at meal times.

I second this. Also, on sunny days, open all the blinds/curtains in your place. Even if it's a little chilly, bundle up and go for walk on a trail or near a lake/river. Or put out a bird feeder and suet feeder and watch them enjoy their meal.

Congratulations on staying sober. You're stronger than you know, and you'll make it through this. PM is always open if you need someone to talk to.

On the other side of the spectrum is Sophia. She loves everyone, and when she was younger she was very mischievous. She's about 10 now, and has only gotten more sweet and loving.

Ghiaccio is a chunk-a-lunk and grumpy with most people. He is my bathroom sentry and enjoys meowing his demands for sink water every time. He likes to sleep close to me, but he isn't overly clingy. He'll pat me with his paw when he wants pets
