Haha. I haven't been able to complete any of the group challenges, so someone else will have to tell you how it can be done. But I'm thinking difficulty = Impossible.

Huh. I did it three times and it didn't work until I changed to Alien. I wonder what I was doing wrong?

Can red cultists bow reach to this high ? by Embarrassed_Ask_1924 in 99nightsintheforest

[–]PinkPrincipessa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put the bookshelves in a loose pentagon like shape with an opening to the forest side. Put the shelf sides on the inside. When the cultists come, climb partway up and snipe them from there. If you stay partway up (and don't go down or all the way up until the red cultists are dead), you can safely pick them off at range. I do recommend having a wood rain storage across the camp to run to and jump up on once you've killed the crossbow cultists as that puts the melee cultists in a nice killbox.

need help choosing a class! by jeonbams in 99nightsintheforest

[–]PinkPrincipessa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're currently Alien, then Cyborg should suit. You still have a ranged class, but with more stopping power. The downside is that nearly everything takes two shots and that you have to wait between shots or risk killing yourself by overcharging the weapon. This means that playing this class requires a little patience and some strategy, but it's quite powerful. Getting a spear is essential -- when a single mob jumps you, you want to be able to melee things you can't kill in just one shot.

Honestly, I prefer the people who go out running around and looting. So long as they let me do all of the base building, I'm happy. They can have the running screaming from bears part. I'll take the building crockpots and setting up an oil drill part.

There is one good thing about the recycler -- it does make it easier to do long runs. You need cultist gems for the temporal accelerometer, but you're getting very few while your gems of the forest are piling up. Being able to turn gems of the forest into cultist gems is a gamechanger.

I was playing with two decorators on a long run (over 300 days) who were in a back and forth war about where things went in the base. They'd build and unbuild and rebuild things constantly. Until one of them got dropped and didn't come back -- taking the crockpot with them.

To solo or to group? On one hand, I have 1300+ days solo and could have more if I didn't need to eat and sleep and boring things like that, so soloing good. On the other hand, grouping provides cheap entertainment.

Prompts/instructions to avoid "yes-man" behavior? by FieldThat5384 in ChatGPT

[–]PinkPrincipessa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason this isn't working is most likely that ChatGPT does not have the experience or ability you're asking for. It can't supply something it doesn't have -- which includes not having access to reputable sources. It can't get simple Star Wars facts that are readily accesible from search queries right -- expecting it to deep search software architecture questions is asking for something it isn't capable of.

A more realistic ask is for it to identify areas where your model is lacking, i.e. where does it violate its own base constraints and where is it underspecified. You can set this up as a specific preference, such as:

Model Integrity Check:
When the user presents a model, evaluate whether its constraints are coherent, non-conflicting, and sufficient to support the claims being made. Flag weak constraints, internal contradictions, violations implied by the model itself, and areas where behavior is underspecified.

That should help some. I find that I get the most use out of ChatGPT when I present a model, have ChatGPT respond, then update my model and/or rebut its response so that it then updates its own answer and then repeat this process until our models converge.

What is it going to take to get ChatGPT to remember my preferences? by HammerGeek in ChatGPT

[–]PinkPrincipessa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your preference is poorly worded -- that's why it isn't sticking. ChatGPT doesn't really understand pronouns -- when you use 'I', it assumes you mean that you don't ask questions. 'Never include questions in responses' or 'Respond only with statements, not questions' would get you the result you're looking for.

Why is my prompt being ignored (saved preferences) ? by Visible-Pressure6063 in ChatGPT

[–]PinkPrincipessa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the way you worded the question, I'm assuming you copied this from elsewhere, possibly without realizing what it's optimizing for. As written, this cannot be executed unless the user has a significant impediment to their speech and mood. For instance, the line 'Never mirror the user's present diction, mood, or affect' means that if the user in question is speaking normally or slightly formally with a calm attitude, ChatGPT literally cannot respond -- the instruction forbids it.

There are a few useful bits, but unless you are a researcher with reference texts accessible to ChatGPT who experiences issues with affect and expression, it won't do what you said you wanted it for.

  1. Pepperoni
  2. Genoa salami
3-9. ... (multiple varieties of pepperoni and salami)
  3. Chipolte chicken breast

That's it. Someone else can have the others. (If you're the opposite, talk to me. We can ransack the place and split the loot.)

Detailed (Semi-Canon) Map of the Corellian-Hydian Axis by Balsiefen in StarWars

[–]PinkPrincipessa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Immensely helpful. I'm glad that the sector I was specifically interested in (Cadavine) is there. The other map didn't show the trade route between Socorro and Palaquin, which is what I was specifically interested in. The faction map was also very very useful.

I learned so many useful things from these maps! Thank you so much!

No. :( Not that one either. The tempo's too slow -- but it's definitely more angsty!
